And Congrats to New Master Instructor
Got an incredible story about a fellow who is scared to learn.
Before we go into him, however…
Congrats to a new Master Instructor.
Congrats to Mathew Tucker!
Here’s is his win:
Hello again Al,
-I have a story to share with you. One if my close friends has been training in kajukenbo for the past couple years. Every week he goes and literally gets the crap beat out of himself all in the name if “body conditioning”. A week ago he and I were talking and I told him “there is a better way”. I began explaining to him the concept of matrixing and he was intrigued. I worked with him for about an hour and he was amazed at how much easier it was when I explained it (using the principles in the master instructor course). But here is the kicker, after all that he said that he is hesitant to use matrixing because it might undermine his “certified” instructors teachings. Lol. Needless to say I was dumbfounded. Al, I know you offer video testing for the individual courses, but how does the master instructor testing work? What do I need to submit? Please let me know. It would be nice to have some type of “certificate” so people like my buddy Josh will know “it’s ok to listen”. Lol.
Thank you Matthew
And congratulations.
Before I get to the qualifications
for the master instructor testing
let me talk about his friend.
The largest problem I have
is people who are blind.
Literally blind.
They have eyes,
but they can’t see.
They have minds,
but they can’t think.
Consider his friend’s position,
‘I am afraid to learn matrixing
because it might threaten what I have already learned.’
And,
even worse,
he’s afraid because,
possibly,
it might ‘offend,’
or undermine his ‘official’ instructor.
Two things come to mind.
Political correctness,
and
fear.
Political correctness because
he is afraid to go against his group,
his leader,
whatever.
Fear because
he says he is afraid.
Can you call yourself a martial artist
if you are afraid?
No.
You can’t.
You haven’t made it yet.
But the thing here is this:
he is afraid to learn.
No matter what the reason,
he is afraid.
And he is going to an ‘official’ school,
and getting beaten up every week.
Which sort of tells you
what schools are really all about.
Beating up people,
instilling fear,
so they can make money.
Go on,
think about that.
There’s gonna be some weird stuff in that thought,
but there is a lot of truth in it, too.
The fact of the matter is
if you are a martial artist,
you should be possessed of a sort of
humble arrogance.
You walk the walk,
but you’re careful in your words,
because you’re walking around people
who are in fear,
who are scared,
and you don’t want to frighten them.
Go on,
think about it.
If you gave a good, ripping
kiai (spirit shout)
in the middle of the mall,
you would have women screaming,
men dropping the pavement,
children crying,
and security would run to arrest you.
Don’t believe me?
I dare you to try it.
I’ve done it,
and that’s EXACTLY what happened.
Simply,
we are living in the midst
of a society that is scared.
Where fake martial artists bully people,
and the true art isn’t much to be seen.
So that is why I congrat to Matthew,
and to all the others
who had the courage to sidestep fear
and actually look at a new thought.
Matrixing.
A way to organize the martial arts,
and jump out of all the BS
and get to where they are going.
Think about it,
here’s a guy getting beat up every week,
and suddenly he finds a better way,
because a Master Instructor takes the time
to sit down and explain the simple facts of life.
And now we have to wait for his friend
to outlast his fear
and take a course himself.
Sigh.
So,
what are the requirements
for this higher level knowledge
that is on the Master Instructor course?
What do you have to do to be certified?
Do the course,
and write me your wins.
Write how it effected you,
how it changed your martial arts,
how you used it to sit down and talk with somebody.
How you helped them overcome their fear of…
knowledge.
That’s the key,
you know.
Knowledge.
The material of the Master Instructor course
is the simple facts.
How you use the body,
how you make perfect form,
how you make ANY technique work.
Once you read the course,
watch the video,
you are changed.
The knowledge changes you.
Whether you want to be changed or not,
you can’t deny the simple truth.
So simply send me your win.
I’ve been selling this course
since 2007,
and NOBODY has disagreed
with the material on the course.
Further,
there has been mass agreement,
not the politically correct kind,
but the unique, personal kind
of individual after individual,
that the material on The Master Instructor Course
is not just right,
but it hasn’t been seen before
on any martial arts video
or in any martial arts book.
So there you go.
You simply have to put aside
any reluctance to learning something new.
Be willing to learn something,
in spite of other instructors,
in spite of your own hesitation,
and order the course.
Then you do the course.
Then you write your win to me.
I announce you,
and certify you,
and that is it.
Period.
Easiest thing in the world,
but you would be shocked
at how many people can’t do it.
So,
again,
congrats to Matthew,
and thank you.
