How to Break Out of Stupid with the Martial Arts!

Increasing Intelligence with the Martial Arts

Good sunny morning to ya!
Did you know that every time you work out
you wake up a little bit more?
Physical and mental,
it comes together.
All you have to do is work out.

ancient karate forms

Now,
I read the most interesting stuff the other day.
It was all about the educational process in America,
and it was backed up by a huge book,
showing how the american educational system
has been under attack for nearly 100 years.

Now,
what does this have to do with Martial Arts?
A lot,
actually.

How do you measure intelligence?
The school systems say it is how much you can remember.
How many facts you can store in your head.
Nope.
Not even close.

The real measurement of intelligence
is how fast you can think.
A large database obscures speed of thought.
Besides, the database implanted in you by schools,
is a fake database.
It has nothing to do with reality.

Your real database is how much reality you are aware of,
and the measure of intelligence
is how fast you can deal with the facts of reality.
How fast you come up and implement a solution
when somebody tries to punch you in the face.
That is intelligence.

And,
to be crude about it,
who is going to survive better?
A fellow with a large and cumbersome database
artificially implanted by the school system,
that doesn’t deal with reality?
Or a fellow who is aware of his surroundings,
and can deal with anything that happens
in quick time?

Okay,
so that brings us to the martial arts.
There is no better method
for making a person aware of his surroundings,
than the martial arts.
There is no superior method
for learning how to have a high IQ,
than by making the lightening quick decisions
that go along with handling a punch to the face.

If you talk to people who are successful,
you will find a higher percentage of people
who studied martial arts.

They are more intelligent.

Now,
there are drawbacks.
For instance,
if you are learning to fight,
but not control yourself,
it doesn’t work.
You get beat up,
and can even damage your database.
You might end up smart,
but you’re also stupid.
Decisions are tainted,
that sort of thing.

And,
if you are not learning forms,
and learning how to make them work
then you aren’t really getting smarter.

Why forms?
Because they are artificial databases
that have to do with how fast and accurately
one moves their body.
That relates directly to reality.

I remember the first time I learned a form.
It was a really simple thing,
but it took me a couple of weeks to learn the whole thing
and then I kept forgetting it.

But,
a few years later,
the last form I learned for Black Belt,
a sizable form called Botsai,
I learned it in one setting.

One gulp.

And I could do the form,
and I didn’t forget it.

So my intelligence went up
because of all the sweat I put into the martial arts.
And the intelligence was directly connected
to reality.

And,
here’s something interesting,
right after that I lost my reaction time,
became intuitive,
and there is no faster thought than intuitive.
Heck,
intuition opens the door
to seeing when things are going to happen
before they happen!

And it was all because of learning forms.

Now,
there are faster ways,
the method I learned by was severely flawed.
The Matrix Karate forms,
because they are logical,
a beginner can do in a lesson or two.
He doesn’t have to keep learning,
struggling to remember,
he can do them,
he won’t forget,
and they are directly related to reality.

And I recommend Matrix Karate
before you learn classical karate.
And,
if you already know Karate,
if you have learned a classical system,
then Matrix Karate will fill in the blanks,
and enhance your classical studies,
so that they make more sense than you dreamed existed.
The logic of Matrixing
will align the classical so it is logical.

Man,
talk about super accelerated,
extreme and advanced
pure Karate!

Anyway,
if you don’t have Matrix Karate,
get it.
And if you have Matrix Karate,
then get Temple Karate
for a very pure classical system.
Both are available at Monster Martial Arts.

Remember,
the fact of the matter is that modern educational systems
are designed to make factory workers.
People who learn martial arts are smarter,
and they usually end up being in charge of the factory.

Here are the links for Matrix Karate
and Temple Karate.

How to be a Master of Karate Kicking!

Newsletter 737
Mastering Kicking in the Karate

This truly is a great morning,
you know?
I mean,
the chance to work out,
one more time!
The odd thing is
after a lifetime of work outs
one would think they would blend together
and mush up in your mind.
But the truth is the opposite,
each work out becomes more and more unique,
more singular,
more stand alone all by itself.
It is just that much fun.

kenpo karate training manualAnyway,
don’t mean to rant,
but working out is that much fun.

So let’s talk about kicking,
and,
before we get going,
let me say one thing,
the influences that made me a matrixer
are wide and varied,
and you’re about to see that.
Here are a whole bunch of bits and pieces…

I was in Kenpo,
and there was a guy there,
tall skinny hippy guy,
hair all over,
name of Ted.
Ted was a master of kickers.
when you freestyled him
he would kick your ass with kicks,
then move in and kick your ass with hands.
I mean,
those long, bony legs
just bruised the heck out of you,
set you up,
and sat you down.

He was much admired for his kicking ability.

One day he was driving,
a guy cut him off,
he honked,
and the guy got out of the car
and stomped back towards him.
Ted gets out,
and they face each other.
Ted is maybe six feet,
skinny as a rail,
looks like a hippy.
The other guy towers over him
he’s as solid as a brick shithouse.
The guy swings.
Ted leans back,
kicks him in the chest,
and sets the guy right on his fanny.
Ted say,
‘Man, I don’t want to fight!’
But the guy is now pissed.
He stands up,
swings,
and Ted leans back and kicks him,
a perfect wheel kick,
in the chin.
Guy drops.
He’s out like a light.
People are watching,
Ted drags the guy to the meridian,
leaves him on the grass,
shrugs his shoulders to the people watching,
and drives away.

That’s a one strike knockout
with a kick.
Zowie.

I,
in particular,
was curious about Ted’s training methods.
Sure,
natural talent,
but there was more.
What did Ted do for training?
And,
the interesting thing,
Ted used to get to class an hour early,
and he would go back in the back room,
close the door,
and do his private work out.
One day he didn’t close the door all the way,
and I did my pre class work out
in a position so I could watch his work out.

He started with kicks.
He just stood in one place,
and did kicks.
I got bored.
And when I happened to glance
through the door again,
he was still doing kicks.

Wait a minute!
That’s a half hour of kicks!
I did ten kicks each side,
through a half dozen kicks,
then wheezed and gasped,
and pitied myself for how exhausted and empty
my legs were.

Ted didn’t waist time pitying himself.
He just went to work.

Now,
here’s a couple of datums
that influenced me in matrixing.

First datum,
did you know that if you put two pigeons in the same cage
they will mate in six weeks.
That’s a lifetime decision.
Six weeks to make a lifetime decision.

Second datum,
every cell in the human body is replaced every six weeks.

Got it?

Now,
I was not of sufficient caliber,
I wasn’t developed enough
to make a decision,
to change my work out
to the grueling routine Ted did.
I was a white boy from suburbia,
had not a clue.

Then I went to the Kang Duk Won,
and the white boy’s eyes were opened.
i can’t tell you how grueling those work outs were.
Every hour
was the equivalent of eight hours of hard work.
My bones would be so bruised
I couldn’t press the clutch pedal in my car.
On hot summer nights,
after class,
my work out partner and I
would walk to a hamburger stand,
and drink the the equivalent of big gulp after big gulp,
trying to replace the fluids we had sweated out.
And,
speaking of sweat,
my uniform would be sopping wet after class.
I would take it off and wring it out
over the toilet,
it was like the gi had been immersed in water.

And,
eventually,
I became of caliber.
And I started working on my kicks.

I did 250 kicks, each side, for the front kick,
for the side kick,
for the wheel kick,
for the rear kick,
for the crescent kick,
for the spinning kick.

And then,
I would frequently do it again.
I would spend hours and hours doing this,
and I realized a truth.

In Karate you want your arms to be as strong as your legs,
and you want your legs to be as flexible as your arms.

And,
here’s the thing,
in six weeks I changed.
I replaced all the cells in my body,
I mated to a concept,
and my kicks started to work.

Okay,
if you want the power of the martial arts,
whether it be in kicks or punches,
in forms or some kung fu concept,
or whatever,
you have to dig deep,
and to dig deep you have to work hard.
You have to work hard until the work out is easy.

Okely dokely,
end of story,
hope it helps.
Gives you legs stronger than the Hulk.

One of the forms I used
to transform myself,
is ‘The Kicking Form.’
It is on the ‘Power Kicks’ course,
which is a freeby,
bundled with the Matrix Karate course.

You know,
the reason I bundled the Power Kicks course
in with the Matrixing Karate course,
is interesting.
If I can give you this one more aside.

Matrix Karate was the first course I made,
and when I packaged it,
I thought to myself,
you know,
I’ve never done this before,
I don’t want to make any mistakes,
I could sell this Power Kicks course by itself,
but,
if I just put it in with the Matrix Karate,
nobody can complain.
Heck,
I’ve given them more than they bought,
so how can they complain?

And I try to follow this datum on all my courses.
You’ll almost always find an extra book tossed in,
or a bundle of things
above and beyond what you order.

It’s to make up for any mistakes I make.
And it works.
Turned out to be good business sense.

when I make a mistake in burning a disk,
or the links for the downloads don’t work,
or the postal system doesn’t like me,
people don’t complain,
they know I am doing my best,
they know I am trying to give back
better than I get,
so they tend to forgive me,
and then everything gets solved
with simple communication.

So that’s the reason you usually find a little extra
on courses you get from me.

Okay,
here’s the link for the Power Kicks (Matrix Karate) course

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/matrix-karate/

So start doing your 250 kicks per kick per side,
(or maybe 300 – yowza!)
And check out the Kicking form,
let it kick your butt
until you have Fng great kicks.

And I’ll talk to you later.

Grounding Yourself in Martial Arts

The Martial Arts Connection

Good afternoon!

Perfect time for a work out!
Perfect time to make yourself perfect.
That’s what it is all about,
you know.
Perfection of character.
And what is perfection of character?
Doing the right thing.
Working without excuses.
Being honest.
Treating people the way you want to be treated,
and you get all that sort of stuff from a simple work out.
You simply work out,
and work the poisons out of yourself.
Sweat out the toxins,
and sweat out the mental toxins,
and get left with the beauty of you.

Now,
let’s talk about grounding.
Grounding means you are connected to something.
In the martial arts this means you are connected to the ground.
But here’s the interesting thing…
if you walk barefoot
there is interchange of electrons between your feet and the earth.
This makes for a healthier body.
Sounds sort of new age,
but it is just solid science,
and can be checked out with
a body voltage meter
which you can buy at Radio Shack.

The electronics are useful in conjunction with free radicals,
which,
again,
make your body healthy.

And here’s something to think about,
walking barefoot is best.
Walking with leather is probably next best,
because leather is organic.
Dead,
but organic.
Walking with rubber souls is probably next best,
and finally,
walking with plastic,
which is most athletic shoes,
is worst.
Heck,
many plastics are actually insulators,
designed to stop the interchange of electrons.

Anyway,
maybe you have heard me talk about the benefits of organic food
v synthetic food,
isn’t it interesting
to find out that this applies to footwear?

Now,
we don’t have to go crazy on this,
it is just something to think about.
A day at the beach is best served barefoot,
a day hike might be better with leather shoes,
and so on.
And,
heck,
if a synthetic sole
from some synthetic
‘do it now’ company
feels best on a marathon,
then do it.

BUT,
that said,
now you know why barefoot is best in the dojo.

My instructor had trained his body to be a machine,
and when he stepped on the mat
you could feel the electricity.
And,
we are talking REAL electricity here.
Not just new age mumbo jumbo,
or mystical ‘chi power,’
but an actual,
measurable,
scientifically proven…
electricity.

The planet to your body,
your body to the planet.
Your body to another body,
as in a kick (or punch).

Now,
real karate,
not tournament stuff,
not commercial stuff,
but the real stuff,
relies heavily upon
grounding the body.
You sink the weight
to make a better connection with the planet,
make health with electrons,
charge up with ‘chi power,’
and so on.

And,
when you do your stances,
you are looking for the best way,
the most efficient way,
or,
at the very least,
the most ‘describable’ way
to charge up your body.

When I was at the Kang Duk Won
we would stand in a front stance,
then we would pivot in place,
and make the other foot the front foot,
snapping the hips,
grounding one way,
then the other,
then the other,
and so on.
And we would then do it with punches,
learning how to use an electrical concept
with the motor of our bodies.

Alternating current,
don’t you know.

And here’s the thing.
When I put matrixing together,
one of the things underneath it
was to clear up all misunderstandings,
get rid of all the stuff you didn’t know,
by simply arranging the thing logically
so there were no gaps in your knowledge.
No missed techniques.
It won’t to make you ground,
or give you mystical power.

BUT…
here is the point of it all.
If you do classical Karate,
chances are it has been passed down through tournaments,
altered for commercialism,
and slanted this way and that for political purposes,
and so on.
That means that you could do your classical karate,
or classical ANY martial art,
and not get the juice.
The juice was simply left out.
Feet are turned wrong,
stances are misaligned,
and so on.
And techniques are often totally messed up.
BUT,
by doing matrixing,
and getting rid of the things
that you were not told,
that oftentimes couldn’t be told,
the art can work,
and then the classical arts,
the ones aimed at the so called ‘mystical’ powers,
the ones that made chi,
could then function the way they were supposed to,
the way they were designed to
through an evolution over the ages.

Matrixing is a key.
It opens the door
by opening up the classical forms,
and then you get the real stuff.

Now,
look,
the three specific courses on this are,
Matrix Karate,
because it shows you how to Matrix.
The Master Instructor Course,
because it shows you proper body alignment,
how to check your effortless energy,
and so on.
AND,
Temple Karate,
because it is classical karate
that I have been doing
under the influence of Matrixing
for nearly fifty years.
These three courses.

So,
I missed wishing all a Happy July Fourth.
Totally missed it.
And I shouldn’t have,
And especially because
I think martial arts
such as I am talking about here
can fix the country,
hold off the effects of GMO
and idiot politicians.
SO…
Buy two courses,
Matrix Karate and The Master Instructor Course,
in download form,
and email me with a happy 4th of July,
and i will send you the downloads for Temple Karate.

That’s buy two,
get one free,
that ought to free your radicals,
connect your electricals,
and get you grounded
the way you should be.
Fix up your art perfect,
put you on the road to perfection of character.
Yes?

So go to MonsterMartialArts.com
and check it out.

And,
beyond that,
all I can say is a belated…
have a great Fourth of July!

And a heck of a great work out!
Al

A Quick Summation of Matrix Karate

How Matrix Karate affects ALL Martial Arts

Matrix Karate is a system of martial arts,
but it is a system of logic as well,
and you can apply this logic to ANY other martial art.
Simply do Matrix Karate,
then take the basics of your system,
and I don’t care if it is krav maga
or tai chi,
or even something concocted by Lieutenant X,
and plug it into the forms and techniques
and you will have an instant Matrix of your system.

Now,
that is not the end of it,
but the beginning.
because as soon as you see your system logically,
ALL sorts of other doors are going to open.

And then the classical system that you have been studying
is truly going to become a VERY advanced form of Karate.

You won’t have those mysterious ‘hidden techniques’
holding you back.

You won’t have the political bushwah
that destroyed your system
in the way any more.

You won’t have any less than adequate instruction
that you might have received,
in your way.

Simply,
you will understand how everything fits together,
and then when you take another look
at that classical system,
you will realize something:
if your system is unchanged enough
then you will truly benefit from the concept
of it being a closed combat system.

A closed combat system is one
which was designed by evolution of generations,
doing only what works,
until you have something truly rare,
a true masterpiece,
something that can evolve the human being.

And,
if it is changed,
then you will have the tools
to RETURN it to
a closed combat method
once again.

I don’t care if your system has been…
altered by politicians,
twisted by political organizations,
changed for tournaments,
diluted for kids,
designed to make money,
or whatever,
or ANYTHING else…
you will be able to fix it.

And,
I guarantee this,
even if you can’t see what has been left out,
you will be able to figure it out after matrixing.

Now,
Matrix Karate is that powerful.
But,
here’s something I run across.
I come across,
usually in forums,
the people who say…
I know what you did,
I know what you are doing…
I’ve already done that.

Here’s the cruel trap,
there are enlightened human beings out there,
and they well might have figured out
what the heck is happening,
and they might actually have insight into their own souls.
These guys might well be VERY powerful people.

BUT…
they did it without method.
Or,
the method they used is antiquated,
based on ancient hieroglyphics
or whatever,
and…

THEY CAN’T EXPLAIN IT!

Which means they can’t teach it.
They can’t explain what they are doing,
accept in the most obtuse and confused manner.
They will resort to sayings from the Tao,
which is a good book,
but not a science,
and can be very confusing in itself.

And these guys,
no matter how smart,
end up losing students
because they don’t have a good, scientific method.

And,
I ask them,
‘have you ever seen a matrix?’
And they say nothing.
Because they are holding on to the fact
that they know something.
They don’t undersdtand,
won’t understand,
that I am not trying to destroy their system,
I am only making it so they can understand it
and teach it,
and create a REAL golden age of Martial Arts.

Now,
I have made it REAL easy.
First,
there is the course itself,
available on MonsterMartialArts.com,
and a few other places.
Second,
there is an example of me teaching the course,
complete from white to black.
That is on Monstermartialarts.com
and a few other places.
Third,
if you want to understand Matrixing theory,
there is Matrixing: the Master Text.
That is available on MonsterMartialArts.com
and a few other places.
Fourth,
there is the Matrixing Karate series.
Five books detailing ALL sorts of stuff,
available on Amazon.

Now,
here is the funny thing,
you probably paid
$50 a month for your lessons,
maybe a lot more.
And the material here is less expensive than…
all the years of your lessons,
a movie and dinner with your mate,
a used tire,
a new Tokaido gi,
A TANKFUL OF GAS!
groceries for a week (if you eat a lot)
a few cases of beer (and better for you)
a pair of Nikes,
and all sorts of other stuff,
and you end up with
MORE KNOWLEDGE
than ALL your years of previous training.
Or,
at least,
the ability to make TOTAL sense
out of ALL your martial arts.

Okay,
thanks for letting me get that out.
I know it is a sales push,
but there is data in there,
and if we are going to have a REAL golden age of martial arts,
it really is necessary.

Okay,
it rained up here at Monkeyland,
so I have to replace an inverter,
clean out culverts,
chase the cows out of the crops,
and go look at the birds.
Saw the most AMAZING buzzard hawk today.
Truly magnificent.
Sitting on the highest branch
of the tallest tree
on the highest mountain here.
Heck,
maybe I better just move that to the top of the list,
Yes,
watch birds all day,
then go work on a ‘Buzzard Hawk’ form.
That’s what I have to do.
You guys and gals,
I really want you to have an enlightening work out,
really get into it,
really analyze the way you shift your weight,
keep your blaance,
and how that combines to create EXTRA energy.

Have a great work out!
Al

that you are.

Have a great work out!

Publication of Final Volume of Matrixing Karate Series!

Releasing the Fifth Volume of Matrixing Karate: Master

This is the official announcement that ‘Matrixing Karate: Master,’ has been released.

It was actually finished a couple of weeks ago, and it has had time to get up on Amazon, and it is in the createspace bookstore, so it’s time to make it official.

karate master requirements

Click on the cover for the latest book in the Matrixing Karate series.

The first volume of this pivotal Karate series was dedicated to fixing basic movements. Volumes 2 – 4 were aimed at explaining matrixng principles, introducing matrixing graphs, and so on. Volumes 1 – 4 were based on the Matrix Karate course available at MonsterMartialArts.com.

The fifth and final volume is a bit different. It is based on a series of manuals written over the years, and upon the ‘Create Your Own Art’ video course.

The thing that makes this final book so important, and sets it apart from even the books it was based upon, is that it goes through the history and concepts of Matrixing and details exactly where each concept came from.

Thus, you are taken on a journey, from the first martial art studied by the author, Kenpo Karate, through each and every martial art he studied. This includes detailing concepts from separating two arts successfully (Kang Duk Won and Kwon Bup) and developing a third based on those two. (Outlaw Karate: The Secret of the One Year Black Belt). It goes into the exact influences that resulted in the development of matrixing, including the original matrixing lists from the 70s and 80s, and leads right into the creation of the Matrix graph.

One thing that may be surprising to students of the martial arts is that the author developed matrixing without the matrixing graph. Instead, he used lists of techniques, reworking the lists for every concept he encountered. This actually entailed, literally, thousands of lists. Thus, the development of the Matrixing Graph is a bonus to the martial arts of unparalleled value.

The book may be found on Amazon. It is paperback, and students of the martial arts are encouraged to get the earlier volumes first, that they may better understand the import and significance of this volume.

Publication of Matrixing Karate: White Belt

The Reasons Behind Matrixing Karate: White Belt

I should explain about Matrixing Karate, now that it has shown up on the Amazon bookshelves.
First, it is a real book. Not a digital thing. Not a PDF.
Second, it is based on Matrix Karate (the course).
The reason I wrote it is that it has been some seven years since I wrote the original course, and it was time to address a few things.
Things I said that could have been taken two ways.
Or things that had several versions. Even though there was very little difference in the variations, it was time to give the reasons for evolution.
Or, things I noticed that readers had difficulty with.
And, I wanted to put in writing (and graphics) more complete instructions for matrixing, for techniques.
And, I wanted to give reasons for certain thigns that people would understand them better.

The first book deals with basics. I know a lot of people will think they don’t need basics.
Silly them.
There is no such thing as an advanced technique, there are only more polished basics.

Later books deal with how to make matrixes. Matrixes for forms, for techniques.
Matrixes that will increase understanding quickly.

Now, the thing that got me started was that this was supposed to be a reworking aimed at the site ‘LearnKarateOnline.net.’ I simply wanted to present the most efficient method for learning karate. I didn’t understand how this project was going to morph and get out of control

So that’s it. Not a lot more.
Just a desire to rewrite and present in the highest possible fashion Matrixing and Karate.

So if you want to prop up your own personal martial arts library with the moist important breakthrough in Martial Arts history, and you want the latest and greatest in Matrixing, and if you simply want to REALLY understand the martial arts, here’s Matrixing Karate: White Belt.

Matrixing Karate: The Series!

The Release of Matrixing Karate

Good week!
It’s only Monday,
and I have already had a work out
and
released a five volume encyclopedia.
Not bad for a Monday morning,
eh?

Well, maybe I haven’t completely released it.
But I have started.
And this is not
The Ultimate Karate Encyclopedia,
which came out last month.
This is…

MATRIXING KARATE: THE SERIES

Yep.
I rewrote Matrix Karate,
expanded the single volume on the course,
into five books.
Put more complete instructions in them,
detailed all the techniques of the matrixes,
and all sorts of other stuff.

Now,
if you have been a long time student of Matrixing,
you might not need it.
But,
if you have been wondering,
scared you’ll get taken advantage of
by an internet charletan…grin.
Then here you go.
Easy,
bite sized pieces.
More complete descriptions.
More details.
A whole new media to spread the word.

First book is out,
Matrixing Karate: White Belt.
But it’ll probably be a few hours till it shows up on Amazon.
If you know your way around createspace,
you might be able to find it,
but…probably Tuesday morning
it’ll be somewhere on Amazon.

And,
of course,
as soon as it shows up
I’ll have links to it
from my websites.

And,
over the next couple of weeks I’ll release the remaining books.

Now,
Matrixing Karate: White Belt,
deals with basics.
Some people think they know their basics,
good for them.
But I’ll tell you this,
after almost fifty years in the martial arts
I don’t worry about learning new techniques,
I just work on polishing my basics,
and this book should change the way
a lot of people look at basics.
I mean,
there’s a lot of poorly understood information out there,
and this book will fix it.

The fact of the matter is,
there are no new and better techniques,
there are only better basics.
Heck,
techniques won’t work
without better basics.
That’s the total truth.

Now,
the real matrixing starts with the next books in the series.
Green, brown and black belt matrixing levels
deal with making matrixes and applying them.
This will enable you to analyze techniques
so that you thoroughly understand them,
and know all techniques,
so there are no missing pieces
in your martial arts education.

Now,
I have missed the last newsletter,
that is because I was knee deep in this stuff.
There is a TREMENDOUS amount of work
that goes into publishing a book,
let alone five of them.

So,
sorry about that,
but I think you’ll understand.

So,
that’s it,
check it out on Amazon
probably tuesday morning,
and I’ll let you know
whent he other books come out.

Now,
Got to run,
I’m still knee deep here,
but I knew I had to write a newsletter
and let people know
I hadn’t dropped off the face of the earth,
and that good things were really happening.

Have yourself a GREAT work out!

Mental Martial Arts

A Silent Mind and Monkeyland…

Good morning
and a GREAT work out to you!

Is it better to feel up or down?
up, right?
And a work out causes you to go up,
to feel better,
so,
I repeat…
a GREAT workout to you!

Now,
the big news is Monkeyland.
I’ll talk about it in a minute,
but first,
I wanted to share a thought
on what happens to your mind when you matrix.

First,
there is relief.
All the jumbled up techniques suddenly fit together.
You can see the blank spaces, where techniques were missing,
you stop hesitating and intuition starts to kick in.
Simply,
the techniques you have been memorizing suddenly make sense,
and become accessible without thought.

This thing of doing without thinking is incredibly interesting.
A baseball player takes off at the crack of the bat.
He’s all the way out in centerfield,
how did he know how to run at the crack of the bat?
He hasn’t had time to study the trajectory of the ball,
yet…he knows where the ball is going.
That is a zen moment.
That is a moment of intuition.
And the question here,
really,
is how do we make our entire lives into a zen moment?
Why do we have to leave the zen moment and return
to the old knock on wood world?
Why do we have to go back to thinking?

This is the purpose of the martial arts,
this is what they are all about,
to take us out of the reaction time, apple falls on head world,
and to put us in a zen universe,
a world where our every action is instant and intuitive.

Now,
as I said,
when you matrix the martial arts you feel relief,
the more martial arts you know,
the greater the feeling of relief,
but the real cool stuff starts happening when your mind starts getting silent.

After you matrix your mind will relax and you will start to experience mental silence.

When you walk down the street
your mind is usually filled with junk.
Thoughts about what you’re going to do,
does he or she like me,
contemplations on work,
and all sorts of other things.
Simply,
you are thinking ALL the time.
The mind just won’t stop…
it just won’t shut up.

After you matrix you feel relief,
but something else has started,
your mind has started to calm down.
It is talking because it is confused,
is one way to look at it.
But,
any way you look at it,
calmed down,
the mind starts to go neutronic.
It starts to shut up,
and you start to look at the world
without having all this thinking crap going on in your mind.

It is a blessed silence.

So here are some things to think about
to help you come to grips with this silence,
and to make it happen quicker.
Mind you,
the things I say will work for martial arts that are not matrixed,
but they will take twenty or thirty years to happen.
With matrixed minds,
everything happens faster.
Logic always works faster.

First,
have you ever engrossed yourself in a good book?
You put it down and suddenly wonder where the time went.
Your mind wasn’t thinking,
because it was busy generating a world
out of the words you read.

when you do a form,
you want to get that feeling,
of investing yourself in the form,
of creating emotion and movement so intently,
that you stop thinking.

Simply,
you are so busy concentrating on one thing,
that you forget about the world.

Try standing and holding your arm out
with the index finger raised.
Stare at that finger.
Every time your thoughts start to wander,
every time you lose focus and start to think,
examine the finger.
Look at the sworls, the curves, the nail…
examine it,
lose yourself in examining your finger.

The point here is simply to learn how to focus your attention
so that your mind doesn’t generate a bunch of crap.
This is a simple exercise in how to remain focused and attentive,
but on what you want…
not on what your mind wants.

Guaranteed,
after a while you will experience the blessed silence.
You will be face to face with the world,
with no bushwah thoughts getting between you and the world.
It is a very special place,
it is a very zen place.

And it will happen faster if you matrix.

Here’s the first course…
http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/matrix-karate/

You do Matrix Karate,
you learn Karate if you don’t know it,
or you finally understand Karate if you have already been studying it.
Now,
take whatever art you wish,
plug it into the matrix.

Take the high block in your rare and esoteric system of Golden Fu,
put it where the Matrix high block is.
Do the same for all the blocks.
Put your blocks into the Matrix forms, high for high, low for low, and so on.
Do the Matrix of blocks,
plugging your blocks into the thing.

Zingo bingo,
your art is matrixed.
You still have a complete classic art of your own,
but it suddenly becomes understandable.
Techniques that were hidden pop out at you.
Gaps in training routines become visible,
and you can fix them!

And your mind will start to become silence,
and you will finally see the world
that the chattering of your mind
has stopped you from seeing.

Oinkey donkey,
Monkeyland.

I’ve got a complete list of things to research…
garden boxes,
how to keep animals out of the garden boxes,
morphing them into green houses,
green houses into meditation rooms.
Interesting stuff,
with an overall aesthetic to it all.
A plan.

And, the thing I’m working on this week…how much is chicken feed?
How do I generate food for chickens without paying out money?
Because everything has to eventually be self sufficient.
Everything has to go natural as soon as possible.

And,
I’ll be honest,
I’ve never done anything like this before,
so I am confused and dazed and…quite enthralled.

But,
the real plans are in the martial arts programs.
I’m figuring out plans for seekers (postulants), novices (novitiates), monks, and so on.
How much art do I give for each level,
how do I tie it in with neutronics, and so on.

And,
Monster has to stay afloat,
because there are going to be people who are more interested in martial arts
and don’t want any religious bushwah infringing upon them.
I understand and empathize.
They are the recruits from which I will draw
after they have had some matrixing,
and have realized that they can make the world into a zen universe.

So in addition to terracing the hilltops,
making work out places for every art,
I think about things like libraries,
and living quarters,
and everything.
And I am really concerned about making a curriculum
that really works.

Now,
that said,
as you might expect,
price of courses will be rising.
Heck,
you all know I’ve been too low for too long,
and I’ve got a temple to build,
unless,
of course,
some happy millionaire out there
wants to donate a million bucks.
That would certainly help out.

Anyway,
you’ve got about a week,
then I’ve got to raise the prices,
so take advantage while you can.
And you might consider starting with Matrix Karate.
It’ll be the first course for Postulants (seekers),
and people will be expected to know it before they even get invited to Monkeyland.
Here’s that URL again…

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/matrix-karate/

Now,
I’ve spoken enough,
got to get to work,
got to make this thing happen.
And I thank everyone who sent in their well wishings and congrats to me.
I appreciate all of your thoughts
and will try to live up to them.
Thanks,
and have a great work out!

Church of Martial Arts Offers Black Belt Program

New Method for Getting Your Matrix Karate Black Belt

Okay, so I’m going to Monkeyland, and top of my priorities is getting people to their Matrix Karate Black Belt.

Now, this is going to be fierce, so hold on to your undies and get ready to make a decision. Here is the first, official program being offered to live in students at the Church of Martial Arts.

Black Belt Karate

Emblem of the Church of Martial Arts

To set this up, let me explain something.

Currently it takes about 4 years to get to Black Belt. This time frame has resulted because:

people have added on to workable systems, and thus confused them.
karate has been geared towards tournaments.
karate has been dumbed down for teaching children.
karate has been slanted for behavior modification.
karate has lost control by using protective pads.
karate has been…changed, altered, modified and…corrupted.

But…people like Mike Stone and Chuck Norris were getting to black belt in a year to a year and a half. This was back before Karate became such a financial success, and self destructed.

Now, it is no secret that I was getting people to Black Belt in one year. I detailed the system I used in the ‘Outlaw Karate’ course.

Then I started Matrixing, and things got REAL fast.

Let’s consider the time involved.

Most people take 2 – 4 hours of instruction a week. It they work out an hour a day that is considered a lot.

In a year, the, you are getting some 300 hours of work out.
But how much actual instruction are you getting?
Most people get five minutes of instruction a day, and the rest is sweat with no explanation because ‘the form will teach you.’

But the idea that the forms will teach you is a lousy one. Because the forms have been corrupted.

Have you ever heard the phrase ‘Practice makes perfect?’

It’s a lie.

The real truth here is that ‘perfect practice makes perfect.’

Simply, if you practice a corrupted system, and virtually all martial arts these days are corrupted, then you will simply monkey see monkey do (memorize) a corrupt system.

No wonder Karate sometimes gets a bad rap!

Now, I have brought a person to Black Belt in three months. This is 120 lessons, which was actually maybe forty hours of instruction. Maybe less.

But the instruction was perfect, because it was based on The Master Instructor Course!’

Yes, I had the student do the Master Instructor Course, and I backed it up with my instruction. So he was getting perfect karate…perfectly!

So…30 – 40 hours? Something like that?

So, here comes the Monkeyland deal.

Come live at Monkeyland for a month.

I will do my best to get you to Black Belt in that month.

Mind you, we are talking about maybe 4 hours of instruction a day. This is variable, because there is a lot of stuff that has to be done up there to make it self sufficient.

But, 4 hours a day for 20 days is…80 hours! I say 20 days because I will run classes intensively for three weeks, then I have to gear down and see to other things that are going to be happening.

Do you think I can get you to your Black Belt in Matrix Karate within 80 hours?

I sure do.

Heck, most of you have martial arts experience, and the learning curve is going to be astonishing!

But even if you don’t have martial arts experience, I think I can get you there.

Mind you, I don’t guarantee, but you know that my reputation is on the line, and the reputation of Monkeyland itself!

Simply, I have to make a certificate from Monkeyland mean something.

There are three requirements to being accepted as a live in student.

1) Write a letter (email) to me listing your experiences and why you think I should accept you as a student. Make sure you tell me about your life experiences, jobs you have held, any injuries you may have incurred during the course of your martial arts training.

2) Get and do the Matrix Karate course before you get here.

Get and do the Master Instructor Course before you get here.

And, here’s the BONUS…enough students make it to Black Belt I will run a Matrix Aikido Seminar!

This will be a complete seminar, a course based on the curriculum listed in the Matrix Aikido Course. This means grab arts, punches, weapons. If you want to be considered for this course, then you have to get and do the Matrix Aikido course before you get here, and you have to get promoted to Black Belt in Matrix Karate.

Now, this is a tough game I’ve outlined here, and it is for tough people. People who aren’t afraid of work, and who can get the job done.

Here are a couple of things to think about.

If you lie or misrepresent yourself in any way you will be asked to leave Monkeyland.
If you don’t follow the rules here you will be asked to leave. And there won’t be many rules. I’ll write them out in a later blog.
Heck, if you have bad character I’ll probably pick up on that in your letter, and you simply won’t get invited.

And, here’s another thing to think about…

How much does it cost to live for a month?

Let’s see, rent, food, clothes…whatever…can you live for $500?

Heck, $500 might cover your food, if you don’t eat too much.

But you could live here for a month for $500.

Out of work and got a couple of thou saved up?

Why the heck aren’t you at Monkeyland?

Think about it.

Living for cheap, doing martial arts hours a day, and you walk away with a certificate, an official Church of Martial Arts certificate, enabling you to teach Matrix Karate anywhere.

Even if you don’t intend to become a teacher, that is an incredible and fantastic thing.

Now, I am doing this for a very short while, prices will go up, but this will enable me to prove that Monkeyland works. And it will give me a bunch of wins that I can use to get more people up here.

And, let me be plain about it, there is an ASTONISHING amount of work that needs to be done up here.

There isn’t much water, so we need to set up a water catchment system. That means leveling off a mountain top and setting up drainage so we can catch the rain.

The mountain needs to be cooled down. We need to plant rows of shady trees, not to mention fruit trees, and irrigate them (with water that we don’t have because the catchment system isn’t in place yet!) and so on and so on.

The road needs leveling, with a side drain so it won’t wash away.

We need to chip granite off some of the rocks and use it to make the road passable in wet weather.

Simply, you’re going to be getting martial arts up the wazoo, but you’re also going to get worked until you are exhausted.

And you’ll be sleeping where you can, so bring a sleeping bag and a tent.

Sound like fun?

No. It’s more than fun. It’s actually growing up and being a pioneer, and learning a way of life that will change you forever!

And, every once in a while, there will be somebody who will be selected to stay on for free.

Somebody who thrives on the load.

Let’s be honest. Many people will be worn to the bone by the time a month is over. Even with the lessening of the load at the end of the month. It will be soul satisfying to the max…but many people will be ready to return to the work a day world.

But there is going to be that odd duck who says, ‘Gee, chipping granite and running it uphill three miles to make the road passable was fun. I liked it!’ Or, ‘Can we terrace the mountain top and make the water catchment system bigger?’ Or, ‘I like making adobe bricks and stacking them to make a house!’

Yes, there will be those kinds of ducks, and I will search them out, and I will enlist them. They are born monks, and they NEED to be at Monkeyland.

But, whether you are on vacation to make yourself the best martial artist in the world, or whether you are looking for a low paying career that fits your soul, Monkeyland is the place to be.

So, think about it. If it sounds like something you’d like to experience, then make a decision. Write me an email. It’s only a month, but it could be the most important life changing month in your entire life!

Write me at aganzul@gmail.com, subject line: I want to Come to Monkeyland because…

New Matrix Karate Black Belt!

What a great week!

I’ve had nothing but new master instructors,
New Shaolin Gung Fu black sashes,
and now here is a new matrix karate black belt!
Congrats to Justin Harris!

Al,

I decided to submit my forms for your scrutiny….I’m making use of these concepts in my Tai Chi classes. I have everyone learn House One now to instill the correct body mechanics before I start taking them through the Matrix Tai Chi forms. (They learn Right and Left Styles you will be happy to know) The matrixing work has made this crop of Tai Chi students much more competent in two person practice.
Many thanks!

Justin Harris

Thanks to you, Justin,
and well done!

And I find it interesting
that he is adapting a karate form to Tai Chi.
Real knowledge holds true from art to art.

And,
Justin has been working on this material hard,
and I believe this was his second submission,
which he passed easily.

Remember,
guys and gals,
first two videos free,
and I think I’ve had
only one person who had to pay for a third.
Everybody else is doing it in two.
And this is because you get failed or passed
according to the exact data on
the master instructor course
or the course you are testing in.
You give me a video,
and I give you the exact reasons.
You fix,
you pass.
Period.

No mystery,
no sudden spring of ‘what I think.’
The data is the data,
and if I can’t offer a correction
based directly on the material in those two courses…
you pass.

Easy squeezy.

And,
here is something juicy,
Justin doesn’t get just one certificate,
he gets two!

Remember,
I don’t grade you on learning the same old same old,
new forms of just the same thing,
I promote based on the number of arts you know.
So congrats again,
Justin,
you get a second cert,
FREE
promoting to second black belt!

Justin earned promotion earlier,
he earned it as Master Instructor.

Do you understand?
It’s about knowledge!

And,
having said that,
let me say something unpleasant.

The major problem with martial artists
is that they think they know something.
They spend time in the dojo,
they learn how to punch and kick,
and most of them can DO something.
but that doesn’t mean they know
what they are doing,
or why what they are doing works,
or why something might not work.

Do you understand?

They have a limited knowledge,
and it is a good knowledge,
but their minds are mostly closed.

The old ‘My style is best’ kind of thing.

I used to do work for an architect,
I saw him working
night after night
after everybody went home.
So I asked him,
‘You’re the boss,
why are you working?
Why don’t you hire some guy out of college to do this stuff?’

He laughed,
and he said,
‘They don’t know what they are doing.
They’re smart,
and they know all the theory,
but they have never gone out to a football field
looked around
and observed where the soft spots are,
where the drainage won’t work,
where the field needs more work.

They know everything from the classroom,
but nothing about real life.

Now,
you get some of this from martial artists,
but,
oddly,
you get more of the reverse.
They have fought,
and they understand so much,
but they can only teach monkey see monkey do.
They don’t know the real reasons
as to why the martial arts work.

That’s why the Matrixing courses are so important.

Haven’t you ever wondered
why some guy doesn’t write in and say,
‘Yeah, yeah…seen that stuff before.’

Because they haven’t!
Because the matrixing theory
and data and graphs and all…
it isn’t out there!

Nobody has seen this stuff!

The martial arts are heavy on doing,
and that gives a lot of knowledge,
but it is slow going.

Matrixing gives the right knowledge,
the real knowledge behind the martial arts,
and then the going is fast!

Simply,
when you know what it is you are supposed to be doing,
it is easier to do.

And only in Matrixing do you get the real knowledge behind the martial arts.

Oinkey donkey,
here’s the facts, Max…

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/matrix-karate/

It’s the only course in the world
that has the basic matrixing data on it.
You can take these forms
plug them into any art,
and immediately know the truth of that art.

And you won’t see this data anywhere else.
Period.

And did I mention that it is inexpensive?

I priced it so anybody could afford it
for one simple reason…

I want the world to be a smarter place,
and I think it all starts with the martial arts.
Learn to matrix in the martial arts,
and soon you will be matrixing things outside the martial arts,
and life is going to get easier and easier,
simpler,
more fun.

Now,
thanks again, Justin,
and all of you,
have a great weekend,
and don’t forget…
