Stop the Voices with Karate Meditation

Karate Meditation done the Right Way

The first lesson I ever learned in Karate was at a Chinese Kenpo School back in 1967. Oddly, I didn’t know that this might be one of the most important Karate lessons I would ever learn.

I walked to the edge of the mat with an instructor and he says, “Bow,” and shows me how.

And then he said, “When you bow to the mat you are bowing to all the people who have ever contributed to the Martial Arts. All the masters that have ever walked on to the mat, you are greeting them.

kenpo instruction manual

Reason and the Age of Kenpo Karate

All of the masters?

So I bowed, didn’t think much of it, but…as the years passed, the truth became obvious.

A motor is two terminals between which there is tension. This is a neutronics definition, but it encompasses EVERYTHING in the universe.

There is a give and take, a push and pull, between you and your mate. That is a motor.

Break a car down and you have a an explosion of gas, and a push in the cylinders, and you have a motor.

Look at a planet and you have a north and south pole, and between then is a tension which causes spin and gravity.

Heck, the human body is based on the push and pull between sodium and potassium. A cell motor.

Now, you can make a machine, which is more than two motors put together. And you can have a big machine.

So what is a big machine? Is it a company with a thousand employees? A country with a million citizens?

How about a martial art in which a zillion million people, all through the history of the universe, have dedicated their effort and energy towards a goal. That’s a pretty big push. that’s a BIG motor.

And that is the motor I was bowing to.

That is the motor which I have invested in for near fifty years, and which has given me power right back for that same amount of time.

But, here’s a funny thing. The marines found out that ten men lifting together can lift more than twelve men lifting separately.

Twelve individual marines might be able to lift 150 pounds each, which makes 1800 pounds. But ten marines lifting together can lift 2000 pounds.

Do you understand?

So I have, as I delve into those ancient forms and techniques, the multiplied power of a ziion million people helping me.

That explains some of the things that people don’t understand. That explains reactions that are intuitive, knowing what is going to happen before it is going to happen, and so on.

Simply, I have the energy of a zillion million people behind me, and that energy manifests in me, and helps me do things that are not thought possible.

Yet, try to explain that to the loner, the disgruntled individual, the fellow who mocks organizations, the fellow who keeps to himself and thinks the martial arts is a bunch of bull.

You can talk to you’re blue in the face, but as Thomas Paine said, “To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture.”

Interesting quote, but it explains people who don’t believe, who don’t believe in anything, and who don’t study the martial arts.

Simply, they are without motor.

Buddha Crane Karate a Breakthrough Martial Arts Book!

Breakthrough Karate Training Manual!

Buddha Crane Karate is a unique Martial Arts book, and probably one of the most important martial arts books ever written.

It was actually put together back in the nineties, and it was the culmination of several years of some of the most original research ever done in the martial arts.

karate training book

Al Case (author of Buddha Crane Karate) working out back in 1974!

The author, Al Case, had spent decades researching material, was a writer for the martial arts magazines, and was on the cusp of his Matrixing discoveries. Matrixing is a form of logic unique to the martial arts.

He wrote Buddha Crane Karate, and began the process of putting down matrixing materials on paper. This involved discarding useless martial arts, poser techniques, techniques that just plain didn’t work, and assembling what was left, the heart and guts of real martial arts, into workable systems.

Buddha Crane was the first of the books.

Unfortunately, technology of the time made it impossible to make and distribute the Buddha Crane. Personal computers were still in their infancy, and it was impossible to translate the graphics into printable form.

The graphics, you see, are bodies described solely by lines and arcs of an early Appleworks program. Real caveman.

Indeed, modern Kindle platforms are unable to translate the graphics.

Thus, up until this publication, the book was seen only as an addition to the ‘Create Your Own Art,’ course crafted by Mr. Case.

The Create Your Art Course was a break through in itself. It consists of original material filmed in the eighties! Though it is unfortunately blurry and sound impaired, it is understandable, and it does stand as one of the most unique martial arts courses ever produced. And Buddha Crane Karate is appended almost an afterthought.

One of the most incredible breakthroughs of the martial arts as an afterthought! how odd.

Avid Martial Arts students interested in Buddha Crane Karate, interested in some of the most unique researches in the history of the martial arts, can now go to Amazon and order the book.

Internet Karate Course Fantastic Self Defense!

The Best Internet Karate Course Works Like a Charm!

Wins are pouring in on the Best Internet Karate Course in the World, and you can see them on the right side of the page at KangDukWon.com. Here’s one…

Hi sensei
, I love it, hone it day by day. I am reading all the manuals you gave me…its fascinating, all the bonus stuff. I’ve learned more in a minute from watching and reading (you) than in whole live classes, seriously. You really changed my mind about Karate, that’s most unusual. Thru your system and instruction it takes now about 1-3 days to understand and memorize a kata, deeply ingrained. That’s high speed! I see the light…
Will

Now, this is no ordinary course. Most martial arts internet courses are monkey see monkey do, the teacher talks for a while then does the form without any explanation other than…‘put your foot here…do this block.’

The Best Internet Karate course has a checklist which tells you how to structure your work outs.

It has comprehensive instructions not as to how to do the movements…but what the movements really mean!

There is a written manual with step by step instructions. This manual is a total of 267 pages with 658 graphics. The instructions are easy to understand as the author is a professional writer who used to write for the magazines articles and a column (Case Histories’ in Inside Karate).

There is a video section on this course in which the form is presented, each move clearly so that no motion can be misunderstood.

Then there is another video section going through each movement of the form and showing how the applications really work. As the author studied Karate back in 1967, in a system that had not been tainted by tournament or compromised for children or otherwise messed up, the applications are VERY interesting, and VERY usable on the street.

Then, if all that isn’t enough…there is ANOTHER video section on this course, this one on the original meanings of the kata. This is the bonus that people are stunned by, as they never realized what karate was designed for, what the original techniques were before they were tainted by tournament and other vested interests, and how it had become so incredibly messed up.

And, if THAT isn’t enough…there’s the price of this course! The author is only charging $1.99 for the first belt! And the prices after the first belt only go up a dollar a belt! All of which means this is not just the best deal you have ever seen, but you better get going before the author realizes what he has done and raises the prices!

Well, enough said, check out the Kang Duk Won website. Examine the ‘Best Internet Karate Course in the World’ for yourself…and don’t forget to read the wins on the right hand side of the pages.

Finding the Best Online Martial Arts Instruction

What to Look For in Online Martial Arts Instruction

For part one of this article, go to How to Teach Yourself Martial Arts.

online martial arts

When looking for the best online martial arts instruction you need to assess three things. Continue reading

I Got Your Karate Lessons Right Here…Only $2!

Karate Lessons for Only $2?

How much Karate can you learn for $2? Eh?

Well, maybe a lot, especially if you have $2 to spend on the Best Online Karate Lessons in the World.

This Karate Lessons are actually a course, and it takes a person right from white belt through black belt.

karate lessons

This guy hasn’t heard the news!

The question is…is it worth the money.

Consider the contents of the first of the karate lessons, the white belt to orange belt level. On that lesson you get a check list to go through. The checklist is thorough.

You get a section on how to do warm ups.

You get a link to a section on Karate basics, all done in video.

You get advice on how to do Martial Arts Katas and techniques.

You get a part on how to do the first Karate Kata, or form.

You get a section on how to do the applications so they will REALLY work.

And, you get a BONUS section on how to translate the movements into the methods used by the original founders of the art. This BONUS section itself is worth gold! It takes you back to how and why Karate was invented, and what the original moves had to have been.

And, the thing makes so much sense that you can’t argue!

And, even if you are slow to think and do wish to argue, you can’t stop thinking about this totally original take on what Karate is!

Now, with this much quantity, and, to be honest, this much quality, why is the price so low?

Because there are a lot of people out there who a) believe you can’t trust the net, b) believe that you can’t learn the martial arts off the internet, c) that the thing is a scam!

But who can argue if it only costs two bucks to find out?

The good news is that this lesson isn’t a ‘cheapie’ to entice to learn and then gouge, it is representative of a sequence of prices that are UNBELIEVABLE!

And, the ulterior motive here?

To teach people good, solid Karate. To make them think, to realize, to get strong and powerful.

To make the weak strong, and the bullies into non-bullies.

And, who knows, you might get to loving this spectacular art so much you order other courses!

Of course, it’ll cost you $2 to find out.

Al Case has near 50 years of Martial Arts experience, and was a writer for the Martial Arts Magazines. This course can be found at $2 Karate Lessons!

Start Your Own Martial Art School

In this day and age, with the economy crumbling, with war clouds on the horizon, with everybody shrieking doom and gloom, there has never been a better time to star a martial arts school.
Heck, you get money, often liquid money, just for helping people get in better shape, sharpening up their minds, and teaching them some rather fun karate lessons about how to take apart a human body. One would hope, of course, that your martial arts student wouldn’t have to take apart a human body.
But, better to be safe than sorry.
Here’s a short snippet on how to teach, you can check out the whole series if you follow the links. I’ll tell you more about starting your own karate dojo or Kung Fu kwoon right below it.

Now, first thing is to make sure you know the martial arts. You should have a black belt, at least, and, to be honest, the more martial arts you know, the better off you will be.
Second, you need to go to college for eight years to get a teacher’s certificate, and…not!
Here’s the funny thing, you don’t need a teacher’s certificate to teach Karate or Taekwondo or any other art. All you need is the knowledge.
You see, nobody really trains people how to teach the martial arts. They just assume that if you get a black belt then you can teach.
And, the ‘official’ schools that say they make teachers, they don’t have any teacher program, no special knowledge, they just let you teach people for a while, assume you know what you are doing, then give you a certificate. Of course, that cert might cost money, might cost a lot of time, but, in truth, it doens’t mean any special knowledge.
The most special knowledge I have ever seen, for instructors in such arts as Jujitsu, kung fu, or other arts, is that they went to boot camps where they got tougher. Tougher doesn’t make smarter; tougher doesn’t make a teacher.
Anyway, if you want to start your own martial arts school, if you want some actual data, some actual specialized knowledge concerning how to teach the martial arts, let me know. I’ll send you a free book on how to start your own school. You have to ask for the ‘Start Your Own Martial Arts School’ book. I get a lot of email, and you have to be specific or I won’t know what you want. My email is aganzul@gmail.com.

The Best Martial Arts I can Give You!

free martial arts

I tell you...I'm not too old to study Karate!

Warning,
I am going to talk about maniacs with guns
and how to love them.
Proceed at your own risk!
That said…

Good morning on this most special of days!
It’s my day.
That’s right,
some 63 yrs ago,
it was gloomy and raining,
fit to drown a duck,
and Mrs. Case
saw fit to spit out
a bouncing baby boy.
Well,
it was actually the 27th,
but we’re close enough,
right?

And,
you know what that means.
That’s right,
I get to apologize.

I apologize twice a year,
once on Hanakwnmass,
and once on birthday.

So,
if I have done anything to offend anybody,
please forgive me.
If your order was late,
and it was the mailman’s fault…
please forgive me.
It’s not his fault,
it’s my responsibility,
so don’t blame him,
forgive me.
If I said something,
in newsletter or otherwise
which doesn’t sit right with you,
please forgive me,
I’ll try to do better.
If your wife got mad at you
for working out too much,
or your sensei got mad
for not working out enough,
please forgive me,
Don’t blame them,
just forgive me.
Whatever irks you in your heart of hearts,
it’s my fault…please forgive me.

Now that I’m forgiven,
let me say something,
let me give you the only gift I can.
Let me give you the best martial arts I can.
I know there are a few
who want to poke a finger in an eye,
kick a groin for fun,
and we’ll do that in a later newsletter.
Right now,
however,
grant me this gift,
and let me give you the best gift I can.

I’m 63 this Sat.
I have almost nothing.
I can pay the rent for a few months,
drive a beat up truck,
and…almost nothing.
But,
the one thing I do have
is the most precious thing in the universe.
It is the ability to work out.
I have the martial arts in my heart.

Odd,
isn’t it?
Mrs. Case’s son should have been rich and famous,
but,
instead,
he’s happy.
If she could see me now
she would love me
but,
she wouldn’t understand.
She didn’t work out,
you see.

Let me tell you the secret of the universe,
which it took me years of working out
to learn.

I’m responsible for everything.
It’s not my fault
I am not victim to it,
it’s my responsibility,
and therefore I am in charge of it.

A person is born
knows nothing,
squalling, teary-eyed brat.
He must construct a device
to give order to the universe.
This device is called a Belief System (BS)
Most people live between birth and death
using their belief system
to justify themselves,
which abuses the device.
A martial artist builds a belief system
which he can use
to launch himself.
There are a few Belief Systems like this,
but Martial Arts is my heart.

A martial Arts belief system
holds the artist as cause to the universe.
He is in charge,
or he is not really doing martial arts.
You can’t do martial arts and be a victim.

Matrixing and Neutronics
is the condensation of the martial arts belief system
so there is no BS in it.
A short, sweet path…
to you.

Every work out you do
you get closer to you.

It is my fond wish
that a thousand years from now
people will be matrixing
diligently and joyously.
Figuring everything out
and going Neutronic.
I don’t care if they remember me,
it’s not about money and fame,
it’s about the art.

Let me give you a boot up on this.
There are three principles in Neutronics.
Protonic, Electronic, Neutronic.

Somebody who is protonic is coming towards you.
Somebody who is electronic is going away from you.
Somebody who is neutronic is going with you.

A maniac with a knife in one hand
and a gun in the other
and who is running at you,
is definitely protonic.
But,
even a child
with the intent to stand in your way,
can be protonic.
We don’t care about the magnitude of the direction here,
we just want to isolate
so we can handle.

A wife running away in tears
is electronic.
No threat here…
or is there?
Perhaps this could be worse than a fully armed maniac.
Any person who is electronic
needs to be handled gently,
with care and compassion,
if there is less of the people in your life,
there is less of your life,
there is less of you.

A person who agrees with you is Neutronic.
We assume here,
for the sake of this narrative
and peace in the world,
that the two of you aren’t carrying
a gun in one hand
and a knife in the other,
or,
are running away crying.
We assume,
for the sake of sanity for all,
that those who you agree with
and who agree with you
are traveling in a direction beneficial to mankind.
Constructing worthwhile projects,
feeding people,
caring for the young,
setting a fine example
of the size of the heart
of a true martial artist.

When you are neutronic there is harmony.

Not harmony in destruction,
as in terrorists carrying bombs,
but harmony as in a peaceful
satisfied existence.

When you are neutronic
you are learning,
and your mistakes become a joy
because they teach you.

When you are neutronic…

let me shift.
The governments of the world aren’t neutronic.
People are at war (protonic)
People are ill (Electronic)
and what can you do about it?

Work out.

The peace you put in your soul is contagious.

Work out
and you put peace in your soul.

Let me tell you
at my advanced and feeble age
I just want to workout.
When I get up
I live to travel to the Mulholland Overlook
and do Tai Chi over the city,
knowing that I am
in a huge and magnificent way
putting peace in the world.

Mid day,
waiting for the computer to catch up,
I live to do Yogata,
breathing peace
into the middle of the day.

Early evening,
I live to work out with the young turks,
learning from their smiles and sweat,
if only we could work out all day and night,
then my dreams would have come true.

Late at night,
ready for bed,
but I can’t sleep
unless I do some Karate.

In between these times,
I write martial arts,
newsletters and emails,
books and videos,
martial arts are all there is.
When I am not doing martial arts
I am in a funk,
downright miserable,
for to not do martial arts
is to betray the purpose of my existence.

So,
my gift to you
is merely to remind you to
workout.

Seek all the knowledge you can,
not just mine,
but all.
Put it to good use.
Teach somebody.
Make them work out.
It is a cure for the ills of the world.

When sufficient people understand this
and do it,
then wars are gone.
Disease doesn’t exist.
And,
in a thousand years
man will be working out,
experiencing the joy of their neutronic existence,
and man won’t be a charred memory
of a planet full of people
who couldn’t get along.

What this planet needs is not people who can fight…
they need people who aren’t afraid to fight
but who have the discipline not to fight.
And that is the construct of the true martial arts
that will launch you
and help you find
the true you.

Now,
next newsletter
we can talk about
kicking people in the groin
and poking people in the eyes
and laughing hysterically
when they grab their groins
and don’t where to go.
But,
for now
your best present to me is
work out.

Peace to us
and glory to all,

Thanks.

The Art of Peace is medicine for a sick world. There is evil and disorder in the world, because people have forgotten that all things emanate from one source. Return to that source and leave behind all self-centered thoughts, petty desires, and anger. Those who are possessed by nothing possess everything.
– Morihei Ueshiba (O’Sensei)
