Sleight of Hand in the Martial Arts

Newsletter 796
Mystical Martial Arts Made Easy

Good morning!
It’s a balmy day out here in LA,
absolutely perfect for working out.
You just let the wind push you into the next move.

Hey,
here’s something interesting,
did you know that people don’t know how to use their bodies?
They do sports,
various gimmicks,
and they catch the ball cool,
but they are using the body at about 1/100 of its potential.
True.

And,
interesting enough,
I am not talking about instances of high adrenaline
as being the optimum.

In fact,
you should be using less energy
to create more effect.

Here’s the neutronic low down, very simple,
on this phenomenon.

If you study math,
the very first thing you learn to do is measure the universe.
After a couple of years of working with this fact,
which is used because it is undeniable,
you can’t argue with a ruler,
you learn to think in abstracts.
You learn to follow formula,
and you leave the necessity for measuring.

So,
two specific stages,
measure the universe,
follow formula.
The devising of new formula is considered the higher,
most creative mathematics.
That is what every professor shoots for.

Okay,
understanding this,
let’s discuss how it parallels the martial arts.

The beginner is taught to measure himself.
How fast he can run from point A to point B,
how much he can lift,
and so on.
This is the first stage,
the measurement stage,
the stage where you measure yourself in universal terms.

But you are not the universe,
you are awareness,
and to realize your true potential you have to find
the abstracts of motion.

Here is a very simple example of an abstract of motion.

The magician holds up the deck of cards,
you choose a card,
insert it back into the deck,
and the magician,
even though he doesn’t know what card it is,
pulls it out.
Whoa!
As Po would say.

But the magician has only used sleight of hand.
He has trained his hands to make a motion
that escapes the eye.
He doesn’t measure himself,
he grades himself according to how many people he can fool.

Can Joe Blow do this mystical faster than the eye can see motion?
With practice.
But here’s the point:
What if you trained your whole body to move
faster than the eye can see.
There are ways,
you know.
Here’s one.
Practice walking the circle out of Pa Kua for a few years,
until you feel the ‘lightening’ in your legs.
When somebody punches,
you move your hand in one direction,
and step down and under in the other direction.
It will be as if you disappeared.

I first heard of this disappearing act
when my instructor was being checked out by a high ranking Korean stylist.
The Korean did a series of stretches,
then,
noting that Bob was just standing and sipping a drink,
asked when Bob would be ready (for a proposed freestyle match).
Bob put his drink down and faced the Korean.
“I’m ready.”
The Korean jumped into the air with a perfect spinning kick.
When he came down Bob was nowhere to be seen.
In fact,
when the Korean turned his back Bob just walked behind him,
in conjunction with the spin.
The Korean was shocked to find Bob behind him.

I was not as fast as Bob,
I have a bigger body,
but I found that by moving my hand in one direction,
and my body in the other,
just as I described earlier,
that people would follow my hand and lose sight of me.

This is simple stuff,
but it takes immense practice.
And it takes a dedication to graduating from the simple measurement of self
into the abstract of measuring the other person.

It takes concentration,
focus of mind.

And,
in my case,
in addition to all the karate I did,
it took decades of Tai Chi and Pa Kua
to understand the enrages involved.

But,
with matrixing,
it doesn’t take that long.
It takes intense effort,
but if you understand what you are trying to do
before you do it,
then you can cut the time down by MUCH.

Mind you,
the path is different for everybody,
because everybody is different,
bodies are different,
and the mind and spirit is definitely different.
But,
if you understand what I have said here,
and are willing to dedicate yourself to the work,
then you can go beyond the measurement of the universe.
You can go into these things that,
before matrixing,
were considered mystical
and reserved for special people.

There is no reason why,
with understanding the matrixing concepts,
and a little hard work,
you can’t be special.
There is no reason why you can’t use your body
to its full 100% potential.

Here’s the Pa Kua page for any who wish
to choose that as a part of their journey.

The Martial Arts Night Before Christmas

Newsletter 789
The Martial Arts Night Before Christmas

Man o man!
What a perfect HanaKwanMass eve!
Perfect for a work out
for all mankind.
And,
a bit of poetry
from yours truly.

But,
before I offend you with my poetry,
let me give you a thought.

Please forgive.
I ask this every year,
twice a year,
in fact.
My birthday,
and HanaKwanMass.

Specifically,
please forgive me.
If I have said your name wrong,
messed up your order,
neglected to mention you,
said something,
anything,
that offended,
please forgive.

Forgiving cleans me out,
and it cleans you out.
You lose an element of wrong thinking
by forgiving.

So forgive.
Forgive me,
or forgive somebody else.
Remember,
positive energy creates positive energy,
and negative energy creates negative energy.
So be positive,
forgive,
and make the world a better place.
Thanks.

Now,
I hope you don’t have to forgive me this,
but here’s the official Monster Martial Arts
rendition of
The Night Before Christmas.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS!

Twas the night before Christmas
I was in my shack
primed and ready
for the red fat attack.

my weapons were loaded
the windows were barred
all would be safe
while I was on guard

The chimney was decked
with concertina wire
I crouched by the couch
ready to fire.

I had an M60
with ammo to feed
I didn’t care
if the red fat did bleed.

A loaded shotgun
and grenades to spare
when red fat came down
I’d blow him out of there.

Throwing stars and knives
and a really long sword
and if that didn’t work
I knew a bad word.

Sitting there late
my eyes started to close
when suddenly I heard
a bunch of ho hos.

Off with the lights
safety off, too
I  watched the fire close
and heard a sound from the flu.

‘Ouch and gosh darn it
who put the wire here
those are my undies
starting to tear!’

Then a shower of soot
and a grunt and a groan
he landed in the fire
and gave out a moan.

He was rubbing the place
where the wire did tear
so I held down the trigger
and lead filled the air.

belt after belt
did I deal the red fat
he danced and he jumped
I knew he felt that!

then quicker than spit
I ran out of lead
but enough was enough
he had to be dead.

Boy was I shocked
to see him stand tall
stepping out of the fireplace
not bothered at all.

So I grabbed up the 16
to mow him down
he had to be hurting
cause I saw his big frown.

Then I was empty
and he came straight for me
I pulled out my knives
and sliced him with glee

He jumped to the side
moving real quick
disarmed my knives
with a well placed kick

then he dropped the big bag
he had on his shoulder
reached forth his arms
and his anger did smolder

He grabbed hard my neck
and held me up high
I tried kicks and punches
but I was like a fly

Not karate nor judo
no art did work
and he grinned a mean grin
and called me a jerk

‘Don’t you know
you stupid little man
Christmas is forever
in spite of your plan.’

Then he threw me aside
and proceeded to work
giving presents to all
and to me a great smirk

And when he left
the great big red fat
he left me a lump of coal
the big red fat rat!

HANAKWANMASS TO ALL

and to all
have a great work out.

Fantasy Martial Arts!

Newsletter 789
Fantasy Martial Arts!

Happy Sunday morning!
It is perfect,
is it not?
For a Sunday workout.
Peace.
Quiet.
A time in which to make yourself stronger.
More enlightened.

Okay dokay…
I was thinking about fantasies and the real world.
A fantasy is when you think,
‘I’m going to do this!’
and it bears no reality to the real world.

You practice the martial arts,
you mock up defenses for everything
from rape to atomic wars
and you think you are prepared.

But that’s not what it is all about.

The average person will get in three fights in his life.
That’s the actual statistic.

Now,
some people have more than that.
A lot more.
A guy who trains in boxing might have a dozen fights,
A cop might have a dozen fights.
The guy who trains in a dojo
usually doesn’t have any fights.

It’s true!
People who train,
and especially in the classic martial arts,
almost never get in fights.
The fights happen around them,
but somehow they walk the walk…
right out of the confrontation.

You can’t believe how many people have verified this for me.

‘I started the martial arts
and now nobody bugs me.’

And the truth is that they have learned to face their fellow man,
and themselves,
and they don’t have that certain set of fears
that results in fighting
anymore.

True.

And it lasts their whole life.

True.

And this is what happens when you go through
the fantasy of the martial arts.
Your fears fade
and you are left
with the reality of you.

So,
let me change pace,
because,
if you think about it,
what I have just said is the truth,
and there is nothing more to be said.

Let me bounce around a bit.

Hanakwanmass to you.
Whether you believe in Happy Hanukah,
Krazy Kwanza,
or Merry Christmas,
let everybody around you
feel the joy you have found in the martial arts.

Give yourself a present,
or give somebody else a present,
this year,
of martial arts.

Let everybody know,
just by your calm attitude
and peace of mind,
what you have
by giving it to them.

If we had a planet full of black belts
we wouldn’t have any wars.

True.

That is such a totally inescapable conclusion.

And,
get ready,
next newsletter will be
my yearly rendition of
The Night Before Xmas.

And here’s something I have never mentioned,
every time I recite that Xmas poem,
every year,
I get people jumping the newsletter.
It’s true.
I send out my rendition of
The Night Before Xmas
and people cancel subscriptions at a mad rate.

Makes me laugh.

See there are two responses to the thought
behind this Martial Arts Xmas poem.

You can laugh,
and embrace the insanity.

You can get mad,
and struggle against the insanity.

But the insanity will be there
until you do enough work outs.
Do enough work outs
and the fantasy leaves,
and you are left with the truth of the martial arts.
All I’m doing is showing the way.

The Way.

Have yourself an incredible HanakwanMass.

and a fantastic work out!

Achieving the Proper Martial Arts Attitude

Proper Attitude

Good Evening!
Time for a great work out!
Get your body revving,
after all,
end of the month you’re going to be stuffing it.
You’re going to NEED a work out!
Grin.

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts...

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts…

Let’s talk about the proper attitude in the martial arts.

There were a lot of bikers
back at the Kang Duk Won.
independents,
Gypsy Jokers,
Hell’s Angels.
They made things fun.

You’d work a technique,
they’d offer a critique
based on how it worked in a fight.
Interesting stuff.
Kept it all real.

There was one Hell’s Angel,
and he liked to get drunk and run red lights.
He’d do this in a car,
get roaring drunk,
give somebody a ride,
and watch them shriek in terror,
while he laughed uproariously.

Now,
here comes the question,
why wasn’t he ever arrested or killed,
or suffer other tragedy?

Because he had the proper attitude.

Hard to swallow,
eh?
It’s like saying
being a homicidal maniac
is having the correct attitude.
Let’s look at it.

He was playing games.
He wasn’t being mean.
He wasn’t hurting anybody.
He had no intention to hurt anybody.
He’d plow through an intersection
right between the cars,
and…laugh.
No harm,
no foul.

Isn’t that interesting?

So,
what’s your attitude towards life?
I know a lot of martial artists are serious.
No laughing or joking,
this is serious business.
I remember one fellow,
who actually got upset
when I called the martial arts a game.
You ever think about the definition for a game?

‘a physical or mental activity or contest that has rules
and that people do for pleasure’

Or…

activity engaged in for diversion or amusement

Or…

often derisive or mocking jesting

Or…

a physical or mental competition conducted according to rules with the participants in direct opposition to each other

And so on.

So here is this guy,
makes up a game with potential death in it,
but because he laughs and has so much fun,
he never suffers ill consequences.

Now that’s martial arts.

And I want you to think of something:
when you are laughing and joking…that’s when good things happen.
When you are grim and serious…that’s when bad things happen.
And this is a pretty diehard 100% rule.

So I repeat the question:
What is your attitude?

If you don’t understand the point I’m making,
keep doing your forms,
you’ll get there.
That’s where the martial arts take you.

If you do understand,
then how can you achieve this attitude?
How can you learn to laugh at everything?
To hold to the idea that nothing matters,
so you might just as well laugh and have a good time.
Somebody dies,
they’re dead,
so why cry?
Rejoice in life,
because someday it’ll be you lying cold and stiff.

Interesting point, eh?

It’s not Miamoto Musashi,
but it’s very pertinent to our times,
to the type of people that populate the world.

Can you laugh when somebody insults you?
Can you laugh when tragedy hits?
Can you laugh when you lose?

Can you?

Okay,
check out my last two books,

Lots of things happening,
but let’s toss out everything
but the truly important.

Congrats to new Master Instructor
Craig Ing

Here’s his win!

Mr. Case,

I’ve finished your Master Instructor course and I have to admit, I am beyond impressed.  I found your concepts to be well organized and described in such a manner that one has no choice but to gain a better understanding of the martial arts.  In studying the course material, more than once I found myself inspired by the simplicity yet completeness of the principles presented.  For me however, the real proof of the efficacy of your work came when I [used your material to correct] my own students’ stances.  Doing so enabled many of them to understand how to correct their stances and their own alignments.

I wish I had studied your course sooner.
Thank you,

Craig Ing

Thank you Craig,
and well done!
The key here is that
his students were able to
correct their own stance and alignment.

Do you get it?
By themselves!

How would you like to be able to take your students
and get them to understand what they were doing,
and why,
so well that they could fix themselves?

Man,
this simple thing.
So difficult.
Yet…
then you can move your classes into
advanced teaching,
and know that everybody truly understands
what you are saying.

That is the essence of teaching,
you know,
to get the idea out of your head
and into his head.

Used to be
you had to drill a guy for three to four years
before he got it.

But using the methods Craig just used
you can do it easy.
One shot teaching.
No need to repeat yourself endlessly,
waiting for the guy to get it.

Once you have this down,
then you can move into advanced stuff.
Start teaching other arts,
show things like one finger takedowns,
intention throws,
and so on.

Thanks, Craig,
for showing the way.
And here’s the link
for those who want to understand the martial arts,
and especially for guys and gals
who want to streamline their teachings,
and make their art and students perfect.

Okay,
one other important thing I should be saying.
The Tong Bei book.

You can find it in the store on Monster
if you want to save a couple of bucks,
get it instant download PDF.

BUT,
if you want the book,
here’s the amazon link…

http://www.amazon.com/Matrixing-Tong-Bei-Internal-Gung/dp/1507869290/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1423672907&sr=8-1&keywords=tong+bei

I like books.
I haven’t gone to ereading yet,
I know it is the wave of the future,
but I love the feel of a book.
I like to know that I can’t lose it
in one computer blip.

You can read the intro to the book
if you go to the store on Monster.
But,
of course,
there’s more to the story
than what I politely say.

Tong Bei is very well known in China,
not so well known in the US.
The thing that I stress
is that it is a concept.
A bunch of concepts
tied together
and it results in the most
efficient motion possible.

The first time in my life
that I ever moved efficiently,
I was bowling,
and I saw a pencil rolling off one of those slant desks,
and I grabbed it.

Except,
I didn’t lurch forward and flail,
I somehow moved out of my body,
and watched my hand
move faster than it had ever moved before,
and it was lie I was moving outside time,
nothing stopped me,
or slowed me down.
It was me moving my body
without adverse influences effecting me.
An anomaly,
didn’t know how I had done it,
until decades later,
through matrixing and martial arts.

But,
the point here is…
‘Adverse influences.’
Never heard that one,
at least not in this respect.
So here goes.

Your body is prone to influences.
Things that effect it from within and without.

When you’re a kid,
you aren’t effected,
your motion is free,
but your body is not formed
and so you don’t understand how it works.
You grow,
your body matures,
and…it slows down.

The cruel trap is that at the same time
you come into a fully functioning body,
the adverse influences kick in.

So,
what are a few of these adverse influences?

Well,
each muscles connection to each other muscle.
That’s a big adverse influence.
Simply,
you go to physical education class,
and you struggle in contest,
baseball or wrestling or whatever,
and your body learns to resist.
And the exercises are designed to build muscle
and not to work the muscles
as one coordinated unit.

You end up resisting yourself.

That’s a heck of an adverse influence.

Here’s another biggie.
Gravity.
Yes,
you move against gravity,
and the constant repetition of struggle,
of getting tired for exercising
over and over again,
it teaches the body to struggle against gravity,
and it trains it to act in a certain
‘gravity resistant’ mode.

And there are other things.
Perhaps incidents,
like you get clocked in a fight,
and your body doesn’t want to fight again,
so it resists you.

And so on.

So when I finally found out
what some of my roots were,
and came across the tong bei connection,
I was interested.

When I started doing the exercises
I list in the book,
I felt a thrill go through me.

These simple exercises,
they worked directly against
adverse influences.
Not by being complex,
but by being easy.

For instance,
in an exercise I might give a simple instruction
mentioning gravity.
You do it,
and you feel what I’m talking about
and you do the exercise,
and a few weeks later,
bingo,
you are minus one adverse influence.
By addressing gravity in a certain way,
you are suddenly shed of the adverse influence of gravity.

I started doing the exercises,
and within couple of weeks
I found my arms loosening up,
moving at speed.
And I realized that
some of the methods I had used
to achieve freedom of motion,
were bypassed
and made inefficient
by these tong bei exercises.

Look,
major concept here.
As I say in the book,
the body is compacted every day.
Gravity
(and that’s just one influence)
hammers it
so that you are an inch shorter
at the end of the day.
Then you elongate during the night,
while you lay horizontal
and the body stretches back out.
So your intent
is to find exercises
which will undo gravity and other influences,
and return the body to its
more efficient mode,
to when it could move quick and easy
unhindered by things lie gravity.

Okay,
I know I’ve been babbling a bit.
It’s that way when I am trying to put things into words,
that aren’t commonly known,
aren’t currently in
the database of human understanding.

So forgive me,
but get the book.
Good Lard,
it ain’t much more than
the price of a MacDonalds meal.

It isn’t a bunch of egghead stuff,
it is simple instruction.

And,
BTW,
there are a lot of matrixes.
I show a lot of the matrixes I used
to understand motion,
how the body is used,
and especially how I finally broke through
and understood internal power.

Okay,
nuff said.

Check it out,
get yourself a real book,
with real knowledge,
and get rid of some of those
adverse influences.

that all said,
once again
WELL DONE CRAIG!

How Long Does It Take to Get a Black Belt?

Can You Earn A Black Belt in A Year?

Well, it certainly doesn’t take 4 or 5 years to get a black belt, and that is in any martial art, Karate, Kung Fu, Taekwondo, or whatever.

I say this off the top because people think it does take that long, and this is one of those big lies that has been foisted upon the public.

how long does it take to get a black belt in karateLet me give you a few facts.

Chuck Norris earned his black belt in Tang Soo Do karate in about a year and a half.

Mike Stone, one of the best tournament fighters ever, and the fellow who taught Priscilla Presley Karate, earned his in something like 7 months.

So you can earn a black belt in karate pretty fast.

In fact, back in the sixties, it used to take about two years. That’s right. And fellows who were above average and dedicated could get there in about a year.

So what happened to make it longer and harder to get expert ranking in the martial arts?

Tracy’s Kenpo Karate hired a fellow from the Arthur Murray Dance Schools to put karate sales to contracts. The contracts were based on a four year program.

What this meant is that people were in contract, committed to a four year program of paying fees.

Can you spell ‘MONEY?’

It wasn’t long before every martial art jumped on the bandwagon.

All the talk of zen and noble warriors, and it was about a buck.

When I wrote ‘Outlaw Karate: the Secret of the One Year Black Belt,’ I had this in the back of my mind.

learn karate faster

Me in 1974. Karate had just gone to contracts, but I could see how it used to be.

I had studied Kenpo, and knew how it was based upon selling a technique or two every week for for years.

I had studied classical karate, and I had seen how people loaded up the systems with all sorts of stuff, just to make it longer to teach so they could keep students.

I had also come across the facts I recited earlier, about it taking only a year or two, and I was interested in returning the art to that rate of training.

And, let me say something else, I saw that people who learned by those faster methods were better.

They were better because they weren’t overloaded with data from multiple arts, they weren’t trying to absorb exercises and drills designed to make training time longer, they were better because they were aimed at a goal, and that goal had not been spread out over time.

Spread out, which is to say dissipated, weakened, diluted.

Which is to say that because they hadn’t been sold a bill of goods, they were not confused or sidetracked in their training.

I actually discovered several different methods of getting a person to black belt in a year or less, and this in any art.

More important, I discovered ways of putting the martial arts to logic; a logic that is not inherent to the eastern methods of learning.

Outlaw Karate: The Secret of the One Year Black Belt, is one of those methods.

it is one of the better ones because it reduces karate training to the basics, to the methods used back in the sixties. No frills, just the hardest core techniques that worked in a fight, and which built a karate fighter out of anybody who was willing to work hard, and keep his eye on the target.

The name ‘Outlaw Karate’ comes from the fact that I thought I was going ‘outside’ the boundaries of Karate. Actually, I found out that I wasn’t, I was just returning to a harder time, a no nonsense time when people knew they could get where they were going by applying themselves.

A time not configured by ‘contracts’ and the desire to make as much money as you could from a student.

Outlaw Karate: The Secret of the One Year Black Belt, is only $15 on Amazon.

I suggest, if you are serious about Karate, and want to break away from the bushwah and the frippery of contract sales, that you get the book. Focus on one form every two months.

Schedule a couple of hours every night, and go for it.

Do the forms, get a partner and do the techniques, do the drills and freestyle.

At the end of a year you will be in the best shape of your life. Your reaction time will be non -existent and you will be moving intuitively.

Most important, you will be a living testament to the way the martial arts used to be.

matrix karate black belt

One of the many books I have written about how to earn a black belt in a faster period of time, and yet be a better black belt.

You will be a diehard fighter of unparalleled prowess and common sense.

You will find out truths about yourself that are available nowhere else in this culture, on this planet, anywhere.

That’s my Outlaw Karate Promise, and my guarantee that you can get a black belt in one year.

And I invite you to email me and ask ANY questions you wish, and to let me know how you are doing.

That’s Outlaw Karate: The Secret of the One Year Black Belt.

STUDENT WIN: Then I found your site. WHAT A RELIEF. I Feel very strongly that what I am learning is the real deal, and its so simple. I love how you make it so practical and yet traditional at the same time. You don’t bullshit, and you get straight to the point. I’ve been practicing the Outlaw Karate basics since I’ve ordered it, and let me just tell you, I was practicing the stances and my brother (for some reason he loves surprising me with his feet) did a high kick and I automatically went into right high block.I broke out into the hugest grin, I wish you could’ve been there. Your right, it is easy to pick up,

STUDENT WIN: I have for the past two years studied the OUTLAW KARATE course material and have instructed much of it to my students. THANK YOU for this great system. I wish I had studied under you many years ago, to have been able to have received at least my SHODAN in this system from you. It is indeed an incredible system…

The Truth of Chi and Pa Kua Chang

Do enough Pa Kua Chang and something really weird happens…

Pa Kua, as many people know, is that martial art where you walk in a circle endlessly. Circles where you find loops within spirals within circles.

Circlepa kua chang instructorTo explain this really weird thing that happens in Pa Kua Chang, let me explain a couple of things first. Understand these things, and you will find that weird is normal in this universe, and normal is weird. Okey dokey?

The circle must consist of eight steps from beginning to end. This is about one good leg sweep, or six feet in diameter. And, of course, the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning, and so on.

Long time Pa Kua students claim that if you explore various positions of the palms as you walk the circle, that the positions stand for various phenomena. Fire palms, water palms, lightening palms, thunder palms, and so on. By following this analogy they have created a separate and entire universe. While this universe can occupy a student for a lifetime, there hasn’t been a good explanation for what is happening, up till now.

When you create this Pa Kua universe, you should understand that the body is a machine. Just like alternating current, power goes down and up the legs. You should confirm it with a good dictionary, at this point, that power is energy, and energy is the capacity for work, and the capacity for work is how much weight you can lift.

Energy of the body is credited with being created by the tan tien. The tan tien is a point a couple of inches below the navel. The tan tien sends the energy down and up and the legs and back into the tan tien. What happens is that the body becomes a capacitor, a storage device, and the energy can be stored for later use.

But also, and most interesting, is that after walking the circle sufficient with the idea I’ve detailed here, you will experience actual lightening going up and down your legs. You will also, as you explore the potential of the palms in conjunction with the storing of the energy, experience a barber pole type energy swirl up and down your arms.

Pa Kua is not mystical, it is common sense physics, but it does take a dedicated practitioner and a calm mind to experience what I have explained here. For the body to start acting as a capacitor one must tell the body to do so enough times and with enough sincerity, and this while walking the circle enough times. If one learns to believe that this universe is not a trap, but a journey, what I have told you here is not only possible, but even easy.

The best Pa Kua Chang for learning what I’ve told you here is the Butterfly Pa Ku Chang. It is specifically designed to fit the concepts here, and it won’t be long before your Pa Kua Chang is giving you lightening legs and thunder palms.

Here is another article describing the Pa Kua Chang universe.

Online Gung Fu Course a Real Breakthrough!

Gung Fu Video Course Totally Incredible!

The Shaolin Butterfly Gung Fu course has been a real breakthrough martial arts course.

It is inexpensive, and yet it covers concepts from over a half a dozen styles of Gung Fu.

It condenses these systems and makes the concepts much easier to learn and to apply than if one was to take the original courses, which might take YEARS to complete!

First, the footwork is logically thought out. Each form moves in a different manner, enabling the student to rapidly understand motion in any direction from emotionless beginning.

Second, concepts from Mantis kung Fu are explored, from Choy Lee Fut gung Fu, the tiger, the crane, the dragon, and more! These concepts are well thought out, and the student rapidly learns to combine them for the BEST gung fu he has ever experienced.

Probably the most exciting thing about this system is the method of freestyle. It covers basics to advanced motions and drills, but it focuses on the completed freestyle drill called ‘Rolling Fists,’ or Lop Sau. Up to this time Lop Sau has been taught in pieces, and nobody has ever understood how the whole exercise works. There are actually six moves, and when these moves are practiced the student becomes able to do incredibly efficient freestyle within an hour or two.

AN HOUR OR TWO! Here is a clip…

It only took a couple of hours for the student to freestyle on an intuitive level, and as time went on his blocks and strikes became only harder and more combat efficient.

There is NO other style of Gung Fu that can do that!

There is NO other freestyle training drill in the world that can do that!

So the Shaolin Butterfly truly is a breakthrough Gung fu course. Check it out at:

You, too, Can Become a Legend of Kung Fu!

SECRETS OF KUNG FU STRENGTH DISCOVERED!

I am not referring to Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, or any of the other martial art cinema stars when I refer to legends of kung fu. I am talking about those mystical feats that all people are in awe of, and wish they could do.

karate style brown belt learnOne of the first legends I ever came across was a fellow who could jump 6 to 10 feet high. He could stand on the street and jump to rooftop. The way to learn how to do this was to dig a hole 1 foot deep and practice jumping out of it for an hour every day, after a month you add a few inches, another month a few more inches, after a few years you’re down to 6 feet, 7 feet, 10 feet, And then you can jump right to the roof of the house. Whoa!

Another legend of kung fu I came across, more dangerous, was a fellow who would stab himself first with a pen and a bigger pan finally a small knife and a bigger night, And eventually he would be able to take withstand the strike of swords. Whoa!

My favorite of these legends, is actually more of an American legend. It was born out of people’s desire to have great strength. What you do is you lift a new born calf on your shoulders. And the next day you lift it again. And the next and the next. And by time a year is past you are able to lift a 1000 pounds. Whoa!

Now I love these legends, but let’s face it if they were that easy everybody would be doing them. So really, These are the comic book variations of internet scams.

The only real way to do kung fu is to get yourself a good martial arts course and do it. No tricks no gimmicks, just good hard work, and a belief in yourself that you can accomplish great things in your life.

Probably the best kung fu course out there, is the Shaolin butterfly. It is based on fut ga Shaolin hung fu, but it uses Western logic to make the study faster and more efficient.

Karate, Kung Fu and Aikido Against Voodoo Martial Arts

Martial Arts: a Destructive Method as Opposed to a Real Method

What you are really trying to do, in martial arts such as Karate and Aikido, and the various types of Kung Fu, is to increase observation while decreasing distance. This is not an exactitude of martial arts practice, but it is the accurate analysis of what we are trying to do.

So you have a beginning martial arts student from one of these classical disciplines, and you launch a slow attack from six feet away. And, as a the months go on, you speed up the attack, and the student gets better and better, faster and faster, and once he reaches a certain point of comfort – that it is comfort is very important, you shorten the distance.

So you launch the attack from three feet away, and you do it slowly, and again, you speed it up over the months. The student gets ‘comfortable’ – remember that word – and you shorten the distance again.

And, you keep shortening the distances until the student is able to stand and observe, not flinch back, and see what is happening, and he is simply becoming more aware.

It’s funny, the martial arts, such as aikido, kung fu, karate, especially the classical ones, are one of the few methods for increasing awareness on this planet. Things like school actually decrease awareness. They jam facts and figures into the head, and it is a rare student, probably a non-existent student, who comes out smarter than when he went in.

But that’s because education doesn’t deal in the real world, except for the sciences, which most people shy away from, and which schools, to remain viable, allow them to. Poor, little darlings (keep writing the check Mommie!)  we’ll get them through something tough, like music appreciation.

Anyway, sorry for that aside, but it is important that you understand the importance of the martial arts on this planet and in your life, so let’s get back to time and distance and awareness.

Awareness is how much of the world you see. And in the martial arts you present a motion, make the student look at it until he is comfortable, then cut the time and make him see more. Cutting the time will enable him to see more.

Now, here is the trick, some of the more modern martial arts, arts based on reality training and so forth, don’t take the time to go through this method, or any other similar working method for increasing awareness.

What they do is increase reaction time.

Now, the student may become more aware in a certain realm, but it is out of his control, he is not able to summon awareness at will, and his body and senses are at risk.

It is the procedure of going to war and depending upon the fact that you are in deathly danger to raise your awareness. It is not a tried and true and scientific method.

It works, but how are you going to teach it without hurting people?

And this method, of forcing increased awareness, of a sort that can be erroneously compared to a real discipline, by putting people in harm’s way usually relies on such terms ‘adrenaline dumping,’ or builds a terminology that is scientific in nature, but psychological in fact. And, the sad thing, psychology is not a science, but merely a voodoo accumulation of whimsical tricks and that sometimes work, if you blunder along long enough. The simple fact of the matter is that psychology, while it has enabled some people under mental stress to go on with their lives, it has never gotten to the bottom of why they weere under stress int he first place, except in the most superficial manner, i.e., some bizarre explanation of wanting to have sex with their mother or father, it’s some one else’s fault, and so on.

The real key here is in the concept of ‘comfort’ under stress.

If your martial art, if  your karate or aikido or kung fu, or even your eclectic discipline, is causing you to relax, to be ‘comfortable,’ when the fist flies towards your face, it is a true art.

And, if you are relying on adrenaline dumping, or touting the fact that you must, simply must try it all out in reality, in a real situation or real fight, to make sure it works, then you are practicing one more savage method, thought up by savages, to retain their savagery.

Savage methods, voodoo training theory, they are a poor excuse for increasing awareness by relaxing, for seeing more of the world simply by applying yourself and making yourself grow through hard work and forcing yourself, I say ‘forcing yourself,’ to see more of the world by learning how to relax under stress.

While the martial arts theory  presented here is pure, it is not practical to apply except in specific exercises; the process of matrixing is the accumulation of many of these specific, and scientific, methods. Further, by being an actual science, and by addressing the actual fact of increasing awareness through such theory as described above, matrixing increases speed of learning by up to ten times, and this in ANY martial art, be it karate, kung fu, aikido, or whatever.

You can find specific Matrix theory and methods at Monster Martial Arts. This includes exact matrixing courses such as Matrix Karate, Matrix Kung Fu, Matrix Aikido, Matrixing weapons, and so on.
