How to Evolve a Thousand Years Every hour in the Martial Arts!

Newsletter 824

The Martial Arts, and Evolution…

Speaking of matrixing, the martial arts, and evolution…
I came across an interesting thought
the other day
I was reading some old yogic scrolls,
and the claim was made
that an hour of yoga
caused a thousand years of evolution
in the person doing the yoga.

Interesting claim.

The most important Martial Arts book ever written.

The most important Martial Arts book ever written.

And,
it’s not right,
though it does act like it is right.

After all,
when you evolve,
you are not growing,
you are reclaiming yourself.
So it’s true,
but…not really.
Which brings us to Matrixing.

When you study a martial art
that has been matrixed,
the art is logical,
and therefore the you accept it.
you like things to make sense,
to be logical.

when you matrix a martial art
you accept this logical method
of looking at and handling the world
at a much faster rate.

The difference between studying a martial art,
and matrixing it
(making it logical through your own efforts)
is the difference between driving a car
and building a car.
The fellow who builds the car
will understand that car far better
than the fellow who simply drives it.

Mind you,
in the end,
you get to where you are going.
But the fellow who makes his own vehicle
will,
in the end,
get there faster.

Now,
that said,
there are several things that will happen,
as you matrix,
that will occur.
I don’t think I have ever laid out these results,
described this path,
so here goes…

First,
you will tend to look at the world in a logical manner.
You will become better at solving problems.
You will become a better worker and boss.
You will become an artist.

how to study martial art

Click here to get the whole story on Matrixing the Martial Arts

Everybody sort of knows this,
most martial artists experience this,
so let me take you where most people don’t know.

Second,
you must put aside emotion.
This is an interesting thing.
People will put emotion on you,
and you will feel the need to respond with emotion.
But the Neutronic definition of emotion:

emotion is motion inside the head.

Thus,
you must still the emotion,
stop the motion inside your head,
and not respond with emotion,

BTW,
there is good emotion,
love, happiness, etc.
And there is bad emotion,
hate, fear, sadness, etc.

So the specific emotion you must not respond to
is the bad emotion.
Good emotion okay.
Bad emotion you must uncreate from even beginning.

Think about it,
emotion is merely the automatic response
of one who is overwhelmed.
You must not become overwhelmed,
you must view the world in logical terms,
so that nothing can surprise you,
nothing can overwhelm you.

Third,
you must defeat the distraction of memories.
You must not respond because any conditioning
you may have received.
This includes any familial conditioning,
any educational conditioning,
any conditioning of any kind.
Instead,
you must create yourself in the moment.

For instance,
your father laughed at certain types of jokes before you,
do you laugh at the same kind of jokes?
Don’t you realize that he laughed at jokes in his moment?
And that you have an entirely different moment?
That will change the type of jokes you might laugh at.

For instance,
school might train you to think like a physicist,
and you will analyze the world as a physicist,
when you should analyze it as a unique being,
not trapped by an education.

(Mind, I am not saying you can’t be a physicist
and be in the moment, too)

For instance,
do you view the world through a religious viewpoint?
It would be much better
to study all religions,
to understand all religions,
than to choose one religion over all others.

Don’t become the only thing in the universe
willing to kill over a belief system.

This is simple after you have evolved a few hours…

Fourth,
you must separate yourself from other people,
without losing your humanity.
Simply,
you must be immune to the attitudes
of your fellow man,
but you must love your fellow man
all the same.
This one is incredibly tough.
No matter how far you evolve,
there will always be some idiot
telling you what to do,
thinking he is smarter than you,
and so on.
Can you accept and even use this fellow?
And put aside your certainty
that he is an idiot?
Interesting problem, eh?

Fifth,
and this one is a toughie,
don’t view the world as a fantasy.
This is probably the toughest,
for you become enlightened through the things
I have previously mentioned,
then you might think that,
because you are so smart,
the world should be as you say.

For instance,
you make a battery powered car,
to save the world from pollutants,
and don’t ever consider
that someday the battery will have to be disposed of,
and that the battery might be worse
than all the oil pollutants of a gas car.

Oddly,
this is one of the most dangerous things
you will ever to confront
on your way to self-sufficiency
as a spiritual being…
on your way to your ultimate evolution…
on the way to the ultimate truth of yourself.

Though people haven’t discovered
the earlier truths,
they don’t know how to look at the world logically,
or control their emotion,
or control their responses to people,
they will still try to rule the world through their fantasy.

Have you ever met a fellow without an opinion?
And yet I am asking you to be one.
Toughest problem you will ever encounter.

Anyway,
this is the truth of matrixing
and where it leads to.

First,
you learn to look at the world logically
through the matrixing method.
You put aside the distraction of memories,
then you put aside emotion,
other people’s thoughts,
and even fantasy.

Then you find the truth of yourself,
and you start manipulating the universe
the way it should be manipulated.

The truly odd thing is that this path
often starts with a simple motivation:
the desire to defend yourself.
The wish to become physically safe
through simple exercises and drills.

Where this path leads,
though,
is sublime.

Now,
the one caution:
People think they can do this through any martial art.
Yet nobody has ever succeeded.

Indeed,
the people who think they have
are merely manifesting their fantasy of the world.
They are still mired in the muck,
and don’t understand that they have no logic.
They have only the fantasy of logic.
They have only an opinion and no facts.

So it has to be a matrixed martial art.
It can’t be a Chinese fire drill of a martial art,
it has to be a logical (matrixed) martial art.
Then it will work,
and then you can experience something like…
a thousand years of evolution
through a simple hour of exercise.

Okay,
Matrix Karate starts the matrixing process.
Study the courses as you need to,
until logic outweighs fantasy in your mind.
Then you will be off and running.

But whatever you do…
don’t settle for an opinion.

True Martial Arts Training Methods

Newsletter 816

Relaxing is the only way to find the True Martial Arts

I remember reading of Koichi Tohei,
many years ago,
and some scientists asked if they could test his ki.
Like, on machines.

do yoga

Click on the Cover

Now this isn’t a smart idea.
Ki is an energy motivated by thought,
sometimes the energy can be registered,
but the thought never can,
so science often proves there is no such thing as ki.
Can’t be measured…doesn’t exist.
Which is the same reasoning
that kept the world flat for so many centuries.
They just don’t what to measure,
and there isn’t a machine in existence
that can measure thought.

That said,
the test went round and round,
they couldn’t explain what Koichi was doing,
and they couldn’t figure out the readings they were getting,
and he,
probably with a diabolical sense of humor,
told them he could slow his heart down.

They said nonsense,
a human being couldn’t control the nervous system in that way.
So he did it.
He dropped it some 30 beats,
then sped it up again,
then slowed it down.
And the scientists were really confused.

So let’s talk about what you are supposed to do
with your mind in the martial arts.

First,
forget it.
It’s just a bunch of memories.
Get rid of the past,
at least ignore it,
and you are more in the present,
and then you can better control your body.
Logical, right?
But too simple.
People have a hard time buying into this simplicity.

So,
in Karate,
we trained so that the mind
didn’t become excited,
and so that we kept looking,
and ignored emotion.
Ignored the emotion of fighting.
Didn’t feel the anxiety,
or panic,
or sudden beating of the heart
as the world devolved to chaos.

Note that I am moving at the same time.

When somebody throws a punch at me
I actually slow down.
My mind looks right past any memories,
and I focus on the moment.
I stop reacting,
even to my own training,
and start moving with the person.
In real time.

Now,
there are MANY examples of this in the world.
The baseball player,
for instance,
the guy way out in the field,
takes off…AT THE CRACK OF THE BAT!
Not before it,
not after it,
but at the same time.
AND,
he moves intuitively to where the ball is going.
He attempts to ‘meet’ the ball,
at some specified time and place.

But how did he know where the ball was going…
at THE CRACK OF THE BAT!

There are other examples,
but this is my favorite,
probably because everybody knows what I am talking about.
Especially if they have played baseball.

If you have ever had a sixth sense,
known when something was going to happen before it happened,
felt somebody walk behind you (hairs on end),
that is you,
putting aside memories,
and perceiving directly.

In Karate,
it happened about the time I got to Black Belt.
When I got there I began to focus,
without excitement or distraction,
on what was happening.
And it really screwed people up,
when I displayed no reaction time.

Reaction comes from ‘react’
which means you are so immersed in memories (or training)
that you can’t perceive directly.

Signals have to travel through the body to create motion,
instead of you,
apart from your body,
just creating motion.

Okay,
I’ve talked long enough,
probably left as much confusion as enlightenment.
But here’s the trick…
You have to train with people
in a system which understands this.
In which the techniques support this,
the forms are aligned and orderly.
The freestyle is not a fight,
but a procedure of learning how to look.
Not getting excited,
not getting distracted by emotions,
but calming yourself
so that you don’t get excited.

I’ve done the best I could
to give you a good system.
In fact…systemS.

Here are the systems…
http://monstermartialarts.com/courses/

But you have to work,
and work hard.
You have to get the idea that I’m talking about in your mind.
You have to force yourself to calm,
to put aside excitement,
and become cool and machinelike in your actions.

Good luck with this,
in spite of all the simplicity of my systems,
it is still hard.

It’s hard to restrain emotion,
put aside memories,
memories that you sometimes don’t even recognize as existing,
and function on a high level.

But it is possible.
Good work out to you.

Let’s talk about matrixing.
In fact,
let’s talk about the big bugaboo of the martial arts…
MISTAKES!

Mistakes are not actually mistakes.
If you block something wrong,
for instance,
it’s not because you made a mistake,
it’s because you made a calculation,
a computation,
based on your current data.
When all the input finished,
when you finished calculating
the trajectory of the fist,
the angle of the block,
and so on,
and got hit in the face,
it is because you did what you trained yourself to do.

You didn’t make a mistake,
you responded according to your training.

This is actually true of everything in life,
but since martial arts are a microcosm,
a small classroom,
let’s look at the martial arts potentials here.

A student is trained to do a block.
He practices and practices,
until it is ingrained.
Until it becomes the intuitive response.
Then an attack happens,
and it is the wrong intuitive response.

This,
incidentally,
is why so many arts fail.
Take Kenpo,
for instance,
two arts,
the art of the technique,
and the art of freestyle,
and they have nothing to do with each other.
The training,
you see,
has left reality.
Then it takes twenty years or so
to make the intuitive work.
Maybe.

So here is the question:
How do you create a correct intuitive response…
EVERY TIME!
And that brings us to matrixing.

In matrixing a mistake is never a mistake,
it is an opportunity to learn something.

So consider this.

A right fist to the face can be blocked four ways.
Use your right hand to push it to the right
Use your right hand to push it to the left
Use your left hand to push it to the right
Use your left hand to push it to the left

I know,
there are lots of potentials here,
lots of other blocks.
But we are keeping it simple.
You can apply what I am telling you here
to other techniques and arts later.

So you practice the first one:
Use your right hand to push it to the right

and you practice it because it is the right one.
It is the one that works best.

And you practice and practice,
and then,
one day,
you are attacked,
and it doesn’t work.

WTF!

The reason it didn’t work might be anything,
a slight curve on the punch,
a delay in timing,
a sneaky distraction,
who knows and who cares.

What we care is the solution.

Instead of practicing just one defense,
you have to practice all four.

And practice and practice.

Sometimes,
if one of the potentials almost works,
you have to practice it a lot.

Sometimes,
if the potential is a disaster,
you just have to practice a little,
every once in a while,
just enough so that you realize…
here it comes…
WHAT DOESN’T WORK!

You see
it’s not enough to know what works,
you have to know what doesn’t work.

Not to make what doesn’t work intuitive,
but so that you can see what doesn’t work in the middle of combat.

This is a different level we are talking about.
We are not talking about being cause and effect,
we are talking about causing the cause and effect.
We are talking about a ‘master viewpoint.’

When somebody punches you shouldn’t react,
you should move with them,
in tune with them,
developing the block or counter or whatever
in the middle of the moment.

This is mushin no shin,
or mind of no mind.

This is when your memories
memories that you might have implanted yourself,
don’t distract you.

This is when you do purely and truly.

And it is really amazing
when you find yourself in the middle of one of these moments.

I was working out with a couple of fellows the other day,
using sticks.
These two fellows had worked out for years,
knew each other well,
knew the material well,
but when it came time to demonstrate,
the teacher turned to me,
because he could feel that I was more ‘in the moment,’
and showed the technique on me.

Simply,
I didn’t hesitate,
or make mistakes,
I just stayed with him,
moving in time with him,
moving in tune,
and even when he started deviating the technique,
there I was,
sticking with him,
making it work.

So you see,
you can’t just practice the martial arts,
you have to understand them.

You can’t just practice a technique,
you have to practice ALL of the techniques,
all variations.

You can’t train yourself to just respond,
because then you are training yourself
to be effect to the other guy’s cause.

Instead,
you have to train all the potentials,
even the mistakes,
then mistakes won’t fool you,
or otherwise trip you up.

The best place to do
what I have told you about here
is the Matrix Karate Course.
The Matrix of Blocks,
which is just one small item on this course,
goes directly to the heart of this.
You will then understand how blocks work,
how they work together,
and how to define what mistakes are
so they never trip you up.

Here go.

The Difference Between Tai Chi Chuan and Karate

Tai Chi Chuan vs Karate

One of my work out partners,
way back in the Kang Duk Won,
decided he was going to do Tai Chi Chuan.
He figured it would be easy,
because of his karate conditioning.
He threw his back out so badly
it took him two years to recover.

Soft, flowing Tai Chi Chuan,
and it was too tough for a young karate guy.
What’s wrong with that picture, eh?

What is wrong is simple,
when Bruce, my friend,
did Tai Chi he thought he could just do a karate kick slowly.
But karate is fast and explosive,
the leg is out and back,
in Tai Chi the muscles have to strain to keep the leg up.
And I mean a whole sequence of muscles.
Bruce’s muscles,
though karate powerful,
couldn’t support the leg for an extended period of time,
and the result of his attempting to do such a thing
disrupted the muscles
all the way back to the spine..

Now isn’t that interesting,
tai chi chuan has more ‘weight lifting’
in its moves.
Karate has the fast explosion,
and the muscle tightening (focus)
builds the muscles.
But those muscles are built
at the beginning and end of the move.
In Tai Chi the muscles must support the weight,
throughout the move,
for a long(er) period of time.

A simple difference,
but it leads to an important concept.

Karate is explosive energy.
Tai Chi is suspended energy.

The difference manifests in movements,
in timing,
in focus of concentration,
in emptiness,
in energy.

Now we could actually analyze these differences
from different points of view.
But what I’ve said here is probably the best point to start.

Not speed,
not sensitivity,
though those are important,
but defining how energy is actually used.
Because how energy is used
defines the other terms.
This concept is core.

This is not to discourage you from trying,
but to caution you,
and help you make the transition.

If you do your karate forms slowly,
and round out the edges of your motion,
you can get Tai Chi power.
Just take it easy when you begin.

If you do your Tai Chi forms fast,
you can find Karate power,
and pretty easily.
But you do have to adapt to a different mind set.

Explosive and slow
two sides to a coin,
two sides to the martial arts.
And there are many more sides that these concepts can lead to.

Here’s the link to the Five Army Tai Chi Chuan course.

Zombie Loops and the Martial Arts

Martial Arts Spirit Revealed

Good evening!
Heck,
great evening!
And have a great late night work out.
When everybody is asleep,
go out in the middle of the street,
or the field,
or whatever,
and feel the silence.
And let your emotion fill the silence.
All of it,
all the way to the moon.

I got in a discussion the other day,
with a very smart fellow.
He was telling me about these things,
I think he called them ‘zombie loops.’
Zombie loops are memories,
that condense in the brain,
or condense the mind,
or something,
so you can break through to true artistry.

The problem was,
he was telling me
that zombie loops are the result of meat,
and the body is meat,
and inspiration is meat,
and spirit is the imagination of the meat body,
and when you die
there is nothing more.

Pretty grim.

So I told him he was wrong.
I asked him who was looking through his eyes,
I told him that this was awareness,
that it couldn’t be measured,
and it was spirit,
that he was a spirit,
an ‘I am.’

But he was solid.
He believed in zombie loops,
and art as a manifestation of meat.

Weird,
eh?

So we argued,
and discussed,
and I couldn’t convince him,
and the reason was simple:
he had never done the martial arts.
He had never stared at a man on the mat,
watched the eyes
until he could see the thought behind the action.
He had never sweated himself
beyond what he thought he could accomplish.
He had never experienced
himself.

Himself apart from his body,
as an awareness that is not the eyes,
but looks through the eyes.

He was spiritually void.

And it really is a shame.

These people who believe in science,
to the exclusion of the spirit,
you have to ask yourself…’why?’

Why can’t they understand spirit?
And belief and imagination
and all of that sort of thing?

Instead,
they use their imagination
to conjure reasons and belief systems,
as to why man has no soul,
thus negating themselves.

That all said,
I thank all you martial artists out there.

Thanks for being part of something
that enhances the human spirit,
improves the spirit,
addresses the soul.

Thanks for being artists.
Thanks for delving into the discipline
until you find yourself.

Thanks.

Now,
a couple of words…

I haven’t been sending out newsletters
because I’ve been working so much.
When I came down from Monkeyland
I had to start everything over.
No job,
no place to live,
had to start from scratch.

So I’m pretty busy.

And,
second thing,
new book is almost out.
‘How to Matrix the Martial Arts…
and the Universe and Life and Everything!’

It is a recounting of the exact method I use to matrix.

I’ve told people,
over the years,
that I really wanted to sum up
the matrixing science and experience.
And this is the closest I’ve come.

You’ll have seen parts of this book here and there,
in some of the courses,
but this is more,
this is the whole thing,
and you’ll understand more about how
the courses are arranged and why,
and you’ll see the exact mathematics I use,
and the exact geometry I use.
So stand by,
I’m doing the final few readings,
working on the graphics,
and it should be ready in a week or two.
Cross your fingers.

Now,
again,
thanks.
And here’s the link for a list of my books.
Check it out,
see what you don’t have,
see what grabs you,
and check them out on this page,
which will likely put you through to Amazon,
which has more info on them.

The True Spirituality of the Martial Arts

The First Lesson in the Martial Arts

I was teaching today,
first time in a long time,
first time since I went through the shoulder injury,
and operation and rehab,
and,
man, it felt good.
Back in the saddle again.
Thanks, Nick.

master yoga martial artAnd,
I was reminded of one of the first things
I ever tell people.
Sort of important,
because I get emails from people
who ask about spirituality.
So here is the basic lesson,
usually the first lesson,
I teach people,
and it is about spirituality.

Invariably,
people will think they made a mistake,
they will usually even apologize.
I say,
‘What?’
They say,
‘I’m sorry.’
I ask, ‘For what?’

Here’s the point,
The student never makes a mistake.
He makes decisions based on the data he has.
If he comes up with an answer that doesn’t fit
he isn’t wrong.
He just needs to go over the material some more.

And here is the lesson…

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RIGHT AND WRONG!

There is right,
and there is almost right,
not quite right,
and so on,
but there is no wrong.

The problem is that people have grown up in a society
where people make other people right or wrong.
You ran the red light!
YOU’RE WRONG!
You get a ticket.

Well, actually,
you ran the red light based on certain data.
The data might have been off,
but it doesn’t make you wrong.

It makes you the ‘victim’ of a government
that exists through the action
of making people right or wrong.

Some guy slaps his kid.
He’s not wrong,
he was raised by being slapped,
it is the viewpoint he has accepted.

Now,
we know what is wrong here,
running a red light or slapping a kid,
it is easier to say somebody is wrong,
than to understand them.

The government thinks that penalizing you
will make you more aware.
But hitting people doesn’t make them smarter.
Quite the opposite.

So here is the point:
do you want to be a spiritual person?
Then make people right.
Give up,
totally,
the idea of wrong.

Teach a kid,
show a worker the correct way,
share a good time,
make people right.

Not wrong.

This is an old concept.

Ever heard of:
Do unto others…?

This is because the universe is basically
a mirror for ourselves.

As you do,
so shall ye reap.

If you make somebody wrong,
then you are wrong.

If you make somebody right,
then you are right.

So,
which do you want to be?
What kind of universe do you want to live in?

And this is,
invariably,
the first lesson I teach.

some people get it quick.
Some slow.
But if I keep saying it,
then it works.
Students get better.
Students become better teachers.
And everybody becomes more spiritual.
More aware.
More…understanding.

Okay!

Learn to Fight like a Girl!

Think You’re a Real Martial Arts Man?

Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘Throws like a girl?’
What a put down, eh?
Some guy so weak, so uncoordinated, that he…’throws like a girl.’
Awkward, the arm all wrong, and the baseball sails a few pitiful feet.
And, that attitude has pursued us. We think of women as lesser, and even treat them with disrespect.

Not the Amazons who propel the race, but weak sisters.
Tell me you haven’t been rude to a girl. Laughed at her. Didn’t show up when you were supposed to.
Well, fellows, I hate to tell you, but the sisterhood is about to make you pay for your disrespect. The next time you answer the door, bow on to the mat, even laugh at a girl on the street, a dark shadow will fall across your grave. You will look up at that shadow, your jaw will drop, and…Rhonda Rousey!
OMG! The bitch who knuckle slaps men, women, and people who don’t know better!
And you didn’t know better.
No fear, however, for there are a couple of things you can still do to salvage your honor, retain the upper hand, and come out with your skin intact. Maybe.
First, remember, women don’t have those hangy downy things between their legs, so don’t go for a groin shot!
Second, normally, if you are fighting a guy, pulling hair is a no no. But Rhonda’s a gal, so it’s all right if you pull her hair. Just watch out for a scissors takedown and rear naked choke.
Third, you’re a guy, you got weight, so fall down and roll away. Make her stoop to your level.
Fourth, you could always offer to shake her hand, then sucker punch her. Nah. That might piss her off.
Fifth, and last, start crying for your mommy. Maybe, just maybe, she’ll take mercy on you. Of course the world will know that you are a whining crybaby, not fit to kiss the hem of a real woman. But that’s okay. You were that anyway, or you wouldn’t have to worry about a mere slip of a girl handing you your fanny on a platter.
Oh, and one last thought: you know that phrase, ‘Throws like a girl?’ It’s been replaced by ‘Punches like a Rhonda.’
Think about it. And be respectful while you do.

There you go,
hope Rhonda sees it,
hope she likes it,
because I don’t feel like trying to pull her hair.

And,
on the serious side…

Myth and Mysticism in the Martial Arts!

Myth Versus Mysticism in the Martial Arts

Do you study Karate? Or kung fu or kenpo or Taekwondo? Or even Mixed Martial Arts? Then let me ask you a question.

Would you turn in your car for a horse and buggy?

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts...

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts…

Why not? After all, the horse and buggy is the old standard. Will never blow a fuse. You’ll get a thousand gallops before the old girl keels over. So why not?

Okay, so let’s rephrase that…would you give up your horse and buggy for a car?

Sort of a silly question, isn’t it?

So let’s talk martial arts.

Your kung fu or Kenpo, your Karate or Jujitsu, those are horse and buggy. They are routines based on mysticism. They are born of legends which cannot be proved.

Mind you, they were great in their day, but why not put them aside for something a little more scientific?

Here’s the thing, people are taught monkey see monkey do. They learn methods based on the movements of the tiger, or some old nun, or some cosmogony that may or may not bear much resemblance to reality.

They are not taught scientifically.

Yes, the arts work, but here’s the question…do you want to ride a horse across the US? Or take a car?

Heck, the car is going to be ten times faster, easier on the bones, and fun.

The horse might be…fun.

The car is built scientifically.

The horse is a miracle of evolution…but it is not a scientifically designed mode of transportation. It is slow, requires constant feeding, and leaves noxious waste.

The car is…fast.

So what do you want to do? Keep going with the old mystical mystic stuff?

Or learn ten times faster?

Interesting choice, eh?

If you want to understand something, not just do it blindly, then you need Matrixing. And you can find matrixed martial arts at MonsterMartialArts.com.

More on Binary Matrixing in the Martial Arts!

How Binary Matrixing Works…

Finally,
I get to sit down and write a newsletter.
It has been REAL busy around here!
So let’s talk about Binary Matrixing.

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts...

Click on the cover to find the source of the martial arts…

Now,
when you know the secret of the martial arts,
when you know what the yin yang really means,
then you can establish a pure art
based only on the principle of the yin yang.

No,
it’s not sun and moon,
or day and night,
or male and female,
or anything like that.
It’s not even balance between complements
or one of the other definitions you’ll find
in wikipedia,
or elsewhere.

But,
once you know the principle,
and how it works,
then you can grow the martial arts from the ground up.

First,
you understand how matrixing came to be,
you see it as a science,
you see how each art is a piece of the whole.

And,
after that,
you understand how each specific art is grown.
How they shape themselves to certain ideas and concepts.

Now,
here’s the trick…
when somebody learns the martial arts
they are learning a highly evolved construction.
And that means they have skipped all the stuff,
that made it evolve.

Everybody wants to learn advanced material…
But the truth,
the secret,
is in the basic stuff
from which the martial arts grew.

So everybody looks for complex forms,
hidden secrets,
mysterious and mystical ‘stuff.’
But they should be looking the other way,
back to the beginning.
Back to where it all came from.

Let me make a point.
If you study an art created by somebody,
then you are duplicating their thought pattern,
their artistic bent.
But what about your own artistic impulse?
Your expression of spirit.

That’s the truth of the martial arts,
you see…
to create.
To be an artist.
Beyond fighting others.

Yes,
learn what others do,
and did,
but only to spur on your own creation.

That is the truth of Binary Matrixing.
It is the seed from which the science of matrixing grows,
and from which all the variations of the martial arts grow.

And,
I will probably beat this to seat,
you
ll hear me say it again
in other form,
and the whole point
is to make you more than a monkey see monkey do…
to make you into an artist.

So here is the URL again…

And now I’ve got to go.
When I say I’ve been busy,
it is an understatement,
and if I am going to realize my goal,
of every martial person becoming an artist,
then I have to do what I have to do.

So have a great work out!
And I’ll try to get this newsletters out more frequently again,
and give you all the skinny
on how these things fit together.

A great week to you!
Al

A Martial Art Disappears!

Okay,
let’s talk about that great fount of info,
youtube.

I like youtube,
it tells you about lots of arts.
Unfortunately,
it doesn’t teach.
It shows,
but there is no instruction.
This is okay
if you have lots of experience,
but if you don’t
then you are getting,
at best,
what the amateurs think,
at worst,
wrong ideas,
if any ideas at all.

martial arts introduction

Neutronics,
the most powerful information int he history of the martial arts

I always remember something I read,
so many years ago.
If you want to get excited,
read a headline,
if you want to get educated,
read a book.
Or,
in keeping with this theme,
do a book/video course.

I think the original concept was,
excitable and slanted info from a newspaper,
not much info at all.
A better rounded picture,
but the data is only the surface variety,
not in depth.
Read a book,
get the whole picture.

Interesting,
eh?
Especially in light of this age of information
we are entering.

And,
of course,
(grin)
the best source of martial arts info on the planet
is Monster Martial Arts.
Of course.

And,
I should tell you at this point,
that Blinding Steel is coming down.
I’m taking it off the website.
Don’t know for how long,
maybe for good,
maybe for a while,
but,
if you want the price it is offered at now,
get it quick.

Blinding Steel is my heart,
Monkey Boxing,
it’s goot ALL sorts of data
about who to get faster,
a logical method for weapons,
disarming,
transitioning to throws,
and so on.
Very potent stuff.
I always recommend you get Matrix Karate,
and the Master Instructor Course,
because that is the heart of the matrixing method.
But the end result of the matrixing method
is Blinding Steel.

So pick it up quick,
it won’t be back,
at least not at this price.

The good news,
I’m putting it together with an intro course
that I am referring to as Binary Martial Arts.
I undercut even Matrixing,
I get down to why the martial arts are a fantasy,
for that matter,
why you are a fantasy,
and I tell the truth about the martial arts,
how to make them not a fantasy,
how to make a real art evolve,
which makes yourself evolve.

More on that later.
Probably a week or two before I have that all polished up.
I have it written,
and it is a whammed slammer.
In fact,
it is so powerful,
and it made me realize something:
this stuff that I am doing,
this matrixing and neutronics,
is more powerful than
The Tao (Lao Tsu)
or even zen.

When people look back at this era,
at what happened to the martial arts
at the dawn of the information age,
they will point to Matrixing and Neutronics,
as the single most potent occurrence,
in the history of the martial arts.
I’m not bragging,
it is just is the value of information.
It is the the fat of mysticism
becoming a science,
a logic,
an actual technology.

When you think about it,
The Tao (for instance)
was exiting the stone age,
it was concepts being written down and passed on.
But the concepts weren’t ordered
or even understood.
Matrixing changes that.
Matrixing is the transition from mysticism
into definable knowledge.

Okay,
I’ve talked long enough.
Remember,
Blinding Steel,
last chance to get it,
right here…
