Kung Fu Panda 2 and the Idiot in the Audience

Kung Fu Panda follows in the vein of the first marvelous movie. It develops the characters, has fight scenes all over the place, and is a large charge of a ride. Check out the video, then I’ll tell you more about this fantastic movie.

I was worried about how they were going to match the first movie, but they did a pretty good job.
The search for an illusive truth is there, along with the back up philosophy and drills and fantastic kung fu lessons. Po may have found enlightenment in the first chapter of the saga, but now he has to find inner peace, and baby, when you got issues, that can be illusive!
The only mar to my experience of the movie came not from the movie, but from the audience. I was first in line on a Friday morning, and behind me were hundreds of kids.
That’s fine with me, good kung fu is never wasted on the young, and I planned on just tapping into the marvel and energy of that age. You’re never too old to be a kid, right?
Well, about halfway through some toddler started crying.
Nobody cared, they were all kids, you know?
then some idiot in the middle of the audience screamed out, “Can’t you control your kid!”
Downer.
Then five minutes later, he screamed at the top of his lungs, “SHUT UP!”
I tell ya, I though about shutting him up. If it hadn’t been for the kids, I would have shown him a little kung fu he never would have forgotten.
Well, probably not. I don’t believe in violence. I know too much Kung Fu for that.
Anyway, past that little idiot, the whole thing was cooler than an ice cube in an eskimo’s, uh…nose. I mean…it was AWESOME!
So that’s my thumbs up on Kung Fu Panda 2. And feel free to drop by Monster Martial Arts and check out my Shaolin Butterfly. It’s a great way to find your own inner peace.
